A nonlinear three-term recurrence relation arising from seeking the steady states of a cellular neural network with bang‐bang control is studied. We show that each solution is periodic and its prime period can be determined by three of its consecutive terms. By means of this periodicity property, we may then solve the steady state problem which to our knowledge is not solved by other means.  相似文献

In this paper,the effects of random variables on the dynamics of the s = 1/2 XY model with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction are studied.By means of the recurrence relation method in the high-temperature limit,we calculate the spin autocorrelation functions as well as the corresponding spectral densities for the cases that the exchange couplings between spins or external magnetic fields satisfy the double-Gaussian distribution.It is found that when the standard deviation of random exchange coupling δJ(or the standard deviation of random external field δB) is small,the dynamics of the system undergoes a crossover from a collective-mode behavior to a central-peak one.However,when δJ(or δB) is large,the crossover vanishes,and the system shows a central-peak behavior or the most disordered one.We also analyze the cases in which the exchange couplings or the external fields satisfy the bimodal and the Gaussian distributions.Our results show that for all the cases considered,the dynamics of the above system is similar to that of the one-dimensional random XY model.  相似文献

Some Gauss-type Quadrature rules over [0, 1], which involve values and/or the derivative of the integrand at 0 and/or 1, are investigated. Our work is based on the orthogonal polynomials with respect to linear weight function ω(t): = 1 ? t over [0, 1]. These polynomials are also linked with a class of recently developed “identity-type functions”. Along the lines of Golub's work, the nodes and weights of the quadrature rules are computed from Jacobi-type matrices with simple rational entries. Computational procedures for the derived rules are tested on different integrands. The proposed methods have some advantage over the respective Gauss-type rules with respect to the Gauss weight function ω(t): = 1 over [0, 1].  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the possibility of optimization of some free parameters of Meixner-like discrete-time linear filters using orthonormal basis functions (OBF) in an analytical way. Since the z-transform of the Meixner filters is impossible and it is possible for Meixner-like filters, we are motivated to study closely the optimization of the Meixner-like's pole. As a result, the differential equation associated with Meixner-like filters has been developed. On the other hand, the effective width of the energy distribution in the transformation domain is a function of the free parameter (Meixner-like pole) and simple signal measurements and can be calculated by the second-order moment. Analytic minimization of the second-order moment gives an optimal value of the free parameter. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, numerical results are used to determine the free parameters.  相似文献

It is shown that for every closed, convex and nowhere dense subset of a superreflexive Banach space there exists a Radon probability measure on so that for all . In particular, closed, convex, nowhere dense sets in separable superreflexive Banach spaces are Haar null. This is unlike the situation in separable nonreflexive Banach spaces, where there always exists a closed convex nowhere dense set which is not Haar null.
