本文研究了一类Dirichlet边界的椭圆型半变分不等式问题.利用非光滑形式的环绕定理和非光滑形式的对称山路定理,得到了在相应假设条件下此不等式问题至少有一个非平凡解和无穷多解.本文中非光滑势能在原点处关于算子+V(x)的第一正特征值λ是不完全共振的.     

Application of nonsmooth transformations to analyze a vibroimpact duffing system

The forced vibrations of an impact Duffing oscillator with one degree of freedom are studied using Zhuravlev's nonsmooth transformation and the multiple-scales method. Detailed consideration is given to the forced vibrations in the domain of resonance family. A <Emphasis Type="Italic">VU</Emphasis>-decomposition method for a second-order cone programming problem

A vu-decomposition method for solving a second-order cone problem is presented in this paper. It is first transformed into a nonlinear programming problem. Then, the structure of the Clarke subdifferential corresponding to the penalty function and some results of itsvu-decomposition are given. Under a certain condition, a twice continuously differentiable trajectory is computed to produce a second-order expansion of the objective function. A conceptual algorithm for solving this problem with a superlinear convergence rate is given.     

Newton Methods for Solving Two Classes of Nonsmooth Equations

The paper is devoted to two systems of nonsmooth equations. One is the system of equations of max-type functions and the other is the system of equations of smooth compositions of max-type functions. The Newton and approximate Newton methods for these two systems are proposed. The Q-superlinear convergence of the Newton methods and the Q-linear convergence of the approximate Newton methods are established. The present methods can be more easily implemented than the previous ones, since they do not require an element of Clarke generalized Jacobian, of B-differential, or of b-differential, at each iteration point.     

Optimizing matrix stability

Given an affine subspace of square matrices, we consider the problem of minimizing the spectral abscissa (the largest real part of an eigenvalue). We give an example whose optimal solution has Jordan form consisting of a single Jordan block, and we show, using nonlipschitz variational analysis, that this behaviour persists under arbitrary small perturbations to the example. Thus although matrices with nontrivial Jordan structure are rare in the space of all matrices, they appear naturally in spectral abscissa minimization.

给出了一种非光滑算法直接用于求解三维摩擦接触问题的不可微非线性互补模型,不再对模型进行光滑化处理,使算法更加简单。文中对非光滑算法的收敛性给出了严格的数学证明,数值实验表明该算法列式简单,但与光滑化算法同样有效。     

Globally Convergent BFGS Method for Nonsmooth Convex Optimization1

We propose an implementable BFGS method for solving a nonsmooth convex optimization problem by converting the original objective function into a once continuously differentiable function by way of the Moreau–Yosida regularization. The proposed method makes use of approximate function and gradient values of the Moreau-Yosida regularization instead of the corresponding exact values. We prove the global convergence of the proposed method under the assumption of strong convexity of the objective function.     

An Implementation of Shor's r-Algorithm

Here we introduce a new implementation of well-known Shor's r-algorithm with space dilations along the difference of two successive (sub)gradients for minimization of a nonlinear (non-smooth) function (N.Z. Shor, Minimization methods for Non-Differentiable Functions, Springer-Verlag: Berlin, 1985. Springer Series in Computational Mathematics, vol. 3). The modifications made to Shor's algorithm are heuristic. They mostly concern the termination criteria and the line search strategy. A large number of test runs indicate that this implementation is very robust, efficient and accurate. We hope that this implementation of Shor's r-algorithm will prove to be useful for solving a wide class of non-smooth optimization problems.     

Differential Inclusions and Monotonicity Conditions for Nonsmooth Lyapunov Functions

In this paper we address the problem of characterizing the infinitesimal properties of functions which are nonincreasing along all the trajectories of a differential inclusion. In particular, we extend the condition based on the proximal gradient to the case of semicontinuous functions and Lipschitz continuous differential inclusions. Moreover, we show that the same criterion applies also in the case of Lipschitz continuous functions and continuous differential inclusions.     

Second-order optimality conditions for minimizing a max-function

We study Chaney's and Ben-Tal-Zowe's second-order directional derivatives with applications in minimization problem for max-functions of the formh(x): = max {f(x, τ); τ ∈T},where T is a compact metricspace. We improve Kawasaki's result on necessary condition for such functions in the minimization problem.
