The observation of neutrino oscillations requires new physics beyond the standard model (SM).A SM-like gauge theory with p lepton families can be extended by introducing q heavy right-handed Majorana neutrinos but preserving its SU(2)L x U(1)y gauge symmetry.The overall neutrino mass matrix M turns out to be a symmetric (p+q) x (p+q) matrix.Given p>q,the rank of M is in general equal to 2q,corresponding to 2q non-zero mass eigenvalues.The existence of (p-q) massless left-handed Majorana neutrinos is an exact consequence of the model,independent of the usual approximation made in deriving the Type-I seesaw relation between the effective p x p light Majorana neutrino mass matrix M,and the q x q heavy Majorana neutrino mass matrix MR.In other words,the numbers of massive left- and right-handed neutrinos are fairly matched.A good example to illustrate this "seesaw fair play rule"is the minimal seesaw model with p = 3 and q = 2,in which one masslese neutrino sits on the unbalanced seesaw.  相似文献

A problem very often arising in applications is presented: finding the minimal root of an equation with the objective function being multiextremal and nondifferentiable. Applications from the field of electronic measurements are given. Three methods based on global optimization ideas are introduced for solving this problem. The first one uses an a priori estimate of the global Lipschitz constant. The second method adaptively estimates the global Lipschitz constant. The third algorithm adaptively estimates local Lipschitz constants during the search. All the methods either find the minimal root or determine the global minimizers (in the case when the equation under consideration has no roots). Sufficient convergence conditions of the new methods to the desired solution are established. Numerical results including wide experiments with test functions, stability study, and a real-life applied problem are also presented.  相似文献

Shiffman proved his famous first theorem, that if A R3 is a compact minimal annulus bounded by two convex Jordan curves in parallel (say horizontal) planes, then A is foliated by strictly convex horizontal Jordan curves. In this article we use Perron's method to construct minimal annuli which have a planar end and are bounded by two convex Jordan curves in horizontal planes, but the horizontal level sets of the surfaces are not all convex Jordan curves or straight lines. These surfaces show that unlike his second and third theorems, Shiffman's first theorem is not generalizable without further qualification.  相似文献

In this article, an approximate minimax theorem for bi-lower-semicontinuous set-valued mapping was proved, relationships between semicontinuous set-valued mappings are discussed and the existence of approximate maxmin was given. The single neutral spin-half particle with electric dipole moment and magnetic dipole moment moving in an external electromagnetic field is studied. The Aharonov-Casher effect and He-McKellar-Wilkens effect are emphatically discussed in noncommutative (NC) space with minimal length. The energy eigenvalues of the systems are obtained exactly in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. Additionally, a special case is discussed and the related energy spectra are plotted.  相似文献

Modern applications of 2D NMR spectroscopy to diagnostic screening, metabolomics, quality control, and other high-throughput applications are often limited by the time-consuming sampling requirements along the indirect time domain t1. 2D total correlation spectroscopy (TOCSY) provides unique spin connectivity information for the analysis of a large number of compounds in complex mixtures, but standard methods typically require >100 t1 increments for an accurate spectral reconstruction, rendering these experiments ineffective for high-throughput applications. For a complex metabolite mixture it is demonstrated that absolute minimal sampling (AMS), based on direct fitting of resonance frequencies and amplitudes in the time domain, yields an accurate spectral reconstruction of TOCSY spectra using as few as 16 t1 points. This permits the rapid collection of homonuclear 2D NMR experiments at high resolution with measurement times that previously were only the realm of 1D experiments.  相似文献

A portable electroanalytical system applied for rapid and simultaneous determination of uric acid (UA) and nitrite (NIT) in human biological fluids (urine, saliva and blood) is reported. The system is based on batch‐injection analysis with multiple‐pulse amperometric (BIA‐MPA) detection using screen‐printed electrodes (SPEs) modified with multi‐walled carbon nanotubes. Sample dilution in optimized electrolyte (0.1 mol L−1 Britton‐Robinson buffer pH 2) followed by injection of 100 μL on the electrode surface using an electronic micropipette is performed. UA is detected at +0.45 V and both UA+NIT at +0.70 V. Linear calibration plots for UA and NIT were obtained over the range of 1–500 μmol L−1 with detection limits of 0.05 and 0.06 μmol L−1, respectively. For comparison, a differential‐pulse voltammetric (DPV) method was optimized, and linear calibration plots for UA and NIT were obtained over range of 1–30 μmol L−1 and 1–40 μmol L−1 with detection limits of 0.1 and 0.3 μmol L−1, respectively. BIA‐MPA is highly precise (RSD<1.3 %), fast (160 h−1) and free from sample‐matrix interferences as recovery values ranged from 77 to 121 % for spiked samples (short contact time of sample aliquot with SPE). Contrarily, recovery tests conducted using DPV did not provide adequate recovery values (>150 %), probably due to the longer contact time of the SPE with the biological samples during analysis leading to a severe interference of sample matrices.  相似文献
