We consider a linear parabolic problem in a thick junction domain which is the union of a fixed domain and a collection of periodic branched trees of height of order 1 and small width connected on a part of the boundary. We consider a three‐branched structure, but the analysis can be extended to n‐branched structures. We use unfolding operator to study the asymptotic behavior of the solution of the problem. In the limit problem, we get a multi‐sheeted function in which each sheet is the limit of restriction of the solution to various branches of the domain. Homogenization of an optimal control problem posed on the above setting is also investigated. One of the novelty of the paper is the characterization of the optimal control via the appropriately defined unfolding operators. Finally, we obtain the limit of the optimal control problem. This paper is concerned with a linear theory of thermodynamics for elastic materials with microstructure, whose microelements possess microtemperatures. It is shown that there exists the coupling of microrotation vector field with the microtemperatures even for isotropic bodies. Uniqueness and continuous dependence results are presented. The theory is used to establish the solution corresponding to a concentrated heat source acting in an unbounded continuum.  相似文献

A fast multipole method (FMM) is applied for BEM to reduce both the operation and memory requirement in dealing with very large scale problems. In this paper, a new version of fast multipole BEM for 2D elastostatics is presented and used for simulation of 2D elastic solid with a large number of randomly distributed inclusions combined with a similar subregion approach. Generalized minimum residual method (GMRES) is used as an iterative solver to solve the equation system formed by BEM iteratively. The numerical results show that the scheme presented is applicable to certain large scale problems. A delay differential equation is presented which models how the behavior of traders influences the short time price movements of an asset. Sensitivity to price changes is measured by a parameter a. There is a single equilibrium solution, which is non-hyperbolic for all a>0. We prove that for a< 1 the equilibrium is asymptotically stable, and that for a>1 a 2-dimensional global center-unstable manifold connects the equilibrium to a periodic orbit. Its birth at a=1 is not of Hopf type and seems part of a Takens–Bogdanov scenario.  相似文献

In this first part of the paper, we review methods for the investigation of stability of relative equilibria of symmetric Hamiltonian systems and explain them by means of the model problem of a rotating pendulum. The 1/2 subharmonic resonance bifurcation and universal unfolding are studied for a rotating shaft with unsymmetrical stiffness. The bifurcation behavior of the response amplitude with respect to the detuning parameter was studied for this class of problems by Xiao et al. Obviously, it is highly important to research the bifurcation behavior of the response amplitude with respect to the unsymmetry of stiffness for this problem. Here, by means of the singularity theory, the bifurcation and universal unfolding of amplitude with respect to the unsymmetrical stiffness parameter are discussed. The results indicate that it is a high codimensional bifurcation problem with codimension 5, and the universal unfolding is given. From the mechanical background, we study four forms of two parameter unfoldings contained in the universal unfolding. The transition sets in the parameter plane and the bifurcation diagrams are plotted. The results obtained in this paper show rich bifurcation phenomena and provide some guidance for the analysis and design of dynamic buckling experiments of this class of system, especially, for the choice of system parameters.
