具有部分单调性的时滞扩散方程组行波解的存在性

就一类具有部分单调性的时滞扩散方程组，我们证明了其行波解的存在性．所采用的方法是通过该系统的适当上、下解构造了Banach空间中的闭凸子集，然后应用Schauder不动点定理，证明相关算子在其上存在不动点．作为该结果的一个重要应用，我们考虑一类时滞的捕食与被捕食模型，证明了其行波解的存在性。     

两个凸函数单调平均不等式的改进

改进了有关凹函数和凸函数的算术平均值单调性的某些已知结论.作为应用,加强了M inc-Sathre不等式和A lzer不等式.     

一类哈密顿系统的Abel积分之比单调性的判据

研究了一类哈密顿系统的两个Abel积分比值的单调性的条件,指出这个单调性条件可由文中给出的两个判定函数直接确定.     

Logarithmic Norms and Nonlinear DAE Stability

Logarithmic norms are often used to estimate stability and perturbation bounds in linear ODEs. Extensions to other classes of problems such as nonlinear dynamics, DAEs and PDEs require careful modifications of the logarithmic norm. With a conceptual focus, we combine the extension to nonlinear ODEs [15] with that of matrix pencils [10] in order to treat nonlinear DAEs with a view to cover certain unbounded operators, i.e. partial differential algebraic equations. Perturbation bounds are obtained from differential inequalities for any given norm by using the relation between Dini derivatives and semi-inner products. Simple discretizations are also considered.     

Elliptic hypergeometric functions and Calogero-Sutherland-type models

We consider an elliptic analogue of the Gauss hypergeometric function and two of its multivariate generalizations. On the Stieltjes moment problem on semigroups

We characterize finitely generated abelian semigroups such that every completely positive definite function (a function all of whose shifts are positive definite) is an integral of nonnegative miltiplicative real-valued functions (called nonnegative characters).     

Moment Problem and Spectral Theorem

Hausdorff momentum problem and its relations to spectral theorem for bounded Hilbert space operators are treated. A generalization for some ordered algebras is shown, where projections are replaced by idempotents.     

A note on flux limiting for diffusion discretizations

In this note, a limiting technique is presented to enforcemonotonicity for higher-order spatial diffusion discretizations.The aim is to avoid spurious oscillations and to improve thequalitative behaviour on coarse grids. The technique is relatedto known ones for convection equations, using limiters to boundthe numerical fluxes. Applications arise in pattern formationproblems for reaction–diffusion equations.
