Production optimization of gas-lifted oil wells under facility, routing and pressure constraints is a challenging problem, which has attracted the interest of operations engineers aiming to drive economic gains and scientists for its inherent complexity. The hardness of this problem rests on the non-linear characteristics of the multidimensional well-production and pressure-drop functions, as well as the discrete routing decisions. To this end, this work develops several formulations in Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) using multidimensional piecewise-linear models to approximate the non-linear functions with domains spliced in hypercubes and simplexes. Computational and simulation analyses were performed considering a synthetic but realistic oil field modeled with a multiphase-flow simulator. The purpose of the analyses was to assess the relative performance of the MILP formulations and their impact on the simulated oil production.  相似文献

We propose an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) approach for solving integer programs with bilinear objectives and linear constraints. Our approach is based on finding upper and lower bounds for the integer ensembles in the bilinear objective function, and using the bounds to obtain a tight ILP reformulation of the original problem, which can then be solved efficiently. Numerical experiments suggest that the proposed approach outperforms a latest iterative ILP approach, with notable reductions in the average solution time.  相似文献

The menace of insect pests is a topic of major concern throughout the world. Chemical pesticides are conventionally used to control these insect pests. However, the adverse effects of these synthetic pesticides, such as high toxicity from residues in food, contamination of water and the environment resulting in human health hazard and resistance of the pest to the pesticides have necessitated development of some nonconventional approaches of biological pest control. In this research, we have focused on a mathematical model of biological pest control using the sterile insect release technique. Unlike most of the existing modeling studies in this field that mainly deal with the pest population only, we have incorporated the crop population as a distinct dynamical equation together with the fertile and sterile insect pests. Local stability analysis is performed around the crop and fertile insect free axial equilibrium, the fertile‐insect‐free boundary equilibrium, the crop‐free boundary equilibrium and the equilibrium point of coexistence. From the study we have derived a number of thresholds for the SIRR (the main parameter for our study) that cause existence and or extinction of the crop population as well as the fertile insect pests. A global study of the model system using comparison arguments revealed existence of a global attractor for the system. Numerical simulations are done to support and augment analytical results.  相似文献

Given a quadratic two-parameter matrix polynomial Q(λ,?μ), we develop a systematic approach to generating a vector space of linear two-parameter matrix polynomials. The purpose for constructing this vector space is that potential linearizations of Q(λ,?μ) lie in it. Then, we identify a set of linearizations and describe their constructions. It is shown that the Fokker-Planck operator can be derived via a projection-perturbation approach, using the repartition of a more detailed operator into a perturbation 1 and an unperturbed part 0. The standard Fokker-Planck structure is recovered at the second order in 1, whereas the perturbation terms of higher order are shown to provoke the breakdown of this structure. To get rid of these higher order terms, a key approximation, local linearization (LL), is made. In general, to evaluate at the second order in 1 the exact expression of the diffusion coefficient which simulates the influence of a Gaussian noise with a finite correlation time, a resummation up to infinite order in must be carried out, leading to what other authors call the best Fokker-Planck approximation (BFPA). It is shown that, due to the role of terms of higher order in 1, the BFPA leads to predictions on the equilibrium distributions that are reliable only up to the first order in t. The LL, on the contrary, in addition to making the influence of terms of higher order in 1 vanish, results in a simple analytical expression for the term of second order that is formally coincident with the complete resummation over all the orders in t provided by the Fox theory. The corresponding diffusion coefficient in turn is shown to lead in the limiting case to exact results for the steady-state distributions. Therefore, over the whole range 0 the LL turns out to be an approximation much more accurate than the global linearization proposed by other authors for the same purpose of making the terms of higher order in 1 vanish. In the short- region the LL leads to results virtually coincident with those of the BFPA. In the large- region the LL is a more accurate approximation than the BFPA itself. These theoretical arguments are supported by the results of both analog and digital simulation.  相似文献

This paper deals with the dynamics of non‐linear distributed parameter fixed‐bed bioreactors. The model consists of a pair of non‐linear partial differential (evolution) equations. The true spatially three‐dimensional situation is considered instead of the usual one‐dimensional approximation. This enables one to take into account the effects of flow profiles and the true location of the measurement transducer. The (output) evolution of the corresponding open‐loop control system is simulated. Furthermore, the associated closed‐loop system with respect to the relevant output function is considered. Especially, the asymptotic output tracking is found to be successful by applying the usual process based on the state feedback linearization. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We construct a family of maximal commutative subalgebras in the tensor product of n copies of the universal enveloping algebra U ( ) of a semisimple Lie algebra . This family is parameterized by finite sequences μ, z 1, ..., z n , where μ ∈ * and z i ∈ ℂ. The construction presented here generalizes the famous construction of the higher Gaudin Hamiltonians due to Feigin, Frenkel, and Reshetikhin. For n = 1, the corresponding commutative subalgebras in the Poisson algebra S( ) were obtained by Mishchenko and Fomenko with the help of the argument shift method.
