It is shown that a continuous map defined on a closed zero-dimensional subspace S of a compact space T into a Peano space X can be continuously extended over T or, equivalently, X is an AE(0, ∞),and this property precisely characterizes Peano spaces within the class of compact metric spaces. Surjectively, a compact AE(0, ∞) of arbitrary weight is proved to be the continuous image of a Tychonoff cube by a map satisfying the zero-dimensional lifting property.  相似文献

A fuzzy representation of the human operator decision-making process of selecting the maximum acceptable weight of manual lift is developed. Measures of acceptability are expressed in terms of membership functions which describe the degree to which the combined effect of biomechanical and physiological stresses is acceptable to the human operator. It is assumed that the combination of these two stresses has a synergistic effect on the individual's performance, and that the perception of this effect is reflected in an operator's choice when selecting the preferable weight of lift. The combined acceptabilities of a lifting task are compared to the subjective capacity norms established by the subjects in a psychophysical experiment. The conditions under which the distance between acceptability measures of the combined and the psychophysical stresses can be minimized are established. It is concluded that at a certain level of similarity between the acceptability measures of these stresses, a decision is made, and the preferred weight of lift selected.  相似文献

For a topological group G we define N to be the set of all normalsubgroups modulo which G is a finite-dimensional Lie group.Call G a pro-Lie group if, firstly, G is complete, secondly,N is a filter basis, and thirdly, every identity neighborhoodof G contains some member of N. The converseimplication emerges as a difficult proposition, but it is shownhere that any projective limit of finite-dimensional Lie groupsis a pro-Lie group. It is also shown that a closed subgroupof a pro-Lie group is a pro-Lie group, and that for any closednormal subgroup N of a pro-Lie group G, for any one parametersubgroup Y : R G/N there is a one parameter subgroup X : R G such that X(t) N = Y(t) for any real number t. A new wavelet-based finite element method is proposed for solving the Poisson equation. The wavelet bases of Hermite cubic splines on the interval are employed as the multi-scale interpolation basis in the finite element analysis. The lifting scheme of the wavelet-based finite element method is discussed in detail. For the orthogonal characteristics of the wavelet bases with respect to the given inner product, the corresponding multi-scale finite element equation can be decoupled across scales, totally or partially, and suited for nesting approximation. Numerical examples indicate that the proposed method has the higher efficiency and precision in solving the Poisson equation.  相似文献

针对SPIHT(set partitioning in hierarchical trees)算法的编码过程具有重复运算、存储量大等问题,提出了一种适合于DSP(digital signal processors)处理的低内存并行SPIHT算法。该算法采用乒乓缓存策略,使得数据的传输和编码能够同时进行。通过引入基于行的整型提升方案,使得只需经少量行变换就能进行列变换,提高了小波的变换速度。根据DSP的并行特性和SPIHT算法的缺点,采用“改进的最大幅值求取方法”、“误差位数以及绝对零值和绝对零集合”、“最大值与零值图”和“单棵零树编码”等多种方法对其进行了改进,大大缓解了对内存的压力,减少了算法的运算量。该算法与LZC(listless zerotree coding)算法相比,重构图像的峰值信噪比相当,但速度提高了2倍,能满足一般的实时压缩要求。  相似文献
