Numerical semigroups with many gaps of the same parity

Let g _e (S) (respectively, g _o (S)) be the number of even (respectively, odd) gaps of a numerical semigroup S. In this work we study and characterize the numerical semigroups S that verify 2|g _e (S)−g _o (S)|+1∈S. As a consequence we will see that every numerical semigroup can be represented by means of a numerical semigroup with maximal embedding dimension with all its minimal generators odd. Riesz transforms for a non-symmetric Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup

Let (ℋ _t ) _t≥0 be the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup on ℝ ^d with covariance matrix I and drift matrix −λ(I+R), where λ>0 and R is a skew-adjoint matrix and denote by γ _∞ the invariant measure for (ℋ _t ) _t≥0. Semigroups of this form are the basic building blocks of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroups which are normal on L ²(γ _∞). We investigate the weak type 1 estimate of the Riesz transforms for (ℋ _t ) _t≥0. We prove that if the matrix R generates a one-parameter group of periodic rotations then the first order Riesz transforms are of weak type 1 with respect to the invariant measure γ _∞. We also prove that the Riesz transforms of any order associated to a general Ornstein-Uhlenbeck semigroup are bounded on L ^p (γ _∞) if 1<p<∞. Closed graph and open mapping theorems for normed cones

A quasi-normed cone is a pair (X, p) such that X is a (not necessarily cancellative) cone and q is a quasi-norm on X. The aim of this paper is to prove a closed graph and an open mapping type theorem for quasi-normed cones. This is done with the help of appropriate notions of completeness, continuity and openness that arise in a natural way from the setting of bitopological spaces.     

The equilibrium states for semigroups of rational maps

We consider the dynamics of skew product maps associated with finitely generated semigroups of rational maps on the Riemann sphere. We show that under some conditions on the dynamics and the potential function ψ, there exists a unique equilibrium state for ψ and a unique exp(P(ψ) − ψ)-conformal measure, where P(ψ) denotes the topological pressure of ψ. Fixed point properties for semigroup of nonexpansive mappings on Fréchet spaces

In this paper, we shall establish a fixed point property on Fréchet spaces for left reversible semitopological semigroups generalizing some classical results.

Modified quasi-reversibility method for final value problems in Banach spaces

This paper is concerned with the final value problem associated with a linear operator A in a Banach space, where −A is the generator of a uniformly bounded analytic semigroup. Based on the deLaubenfels' functional calculus, we use new quasi-reversibility method, introduced by Boussetila and Rebbani recently, to form an approximate problem. We obtain some results in a Banach space similar to those in a Hilbert space.
