The effect of an anisotropic thermal diffusivity tensor on the free convective boundary-layer flow in porous media is studied. Convection is induced by a generally inclined, uniformly heated surface embedded in a fluid-saturated medium. A third-order boundary-layer theory is presented in order to obtain accurate information on the effect of anisotropy on the rate of heat transfer into the porous medium. It is shown that the thickness of the resulting leading order boundary-layer flow depends on the precise nature of the anisotropy. On the other hand, the anisotropic diffusivity does not induce a fluid drift in the spanwise direction, a result which is different from that obtained in our earlier study of the effects of an anisotropic permeability. It is found that the second order temperature field does not contribute to the overall rate of heat transfer. Finally, we show that the third-order correction to the leading-order rate of heat transfer is given in terms of an explicit formula.  相似文献

A high-Reynolds steady-state viscous incompressible fluid flow is investigated in the neighborhood of a small three-dimensional irregularity located on the smooth surface of a body and oriented almost along the skin-friction lines. The regime in which quasi-two-dimensional flow with a given pressure gradient is realized on the irregularity scale is studied in detail. The numerical solution of the corresponding boundary value problem for the boundary layer equations is obtained. It is shown that, as distinct from the plane case, this solution is unique.  相似文献

The effect of filling high density polyethylene (HDPE) with calcium carbonate (up to 50% by weight) on the stress relaxation and the creep in uniaxial extension at room temperature was investigated. The addition of CaCO3 was found to have a strong influence on the flow behaviour of HDPE. In particular, it was observed that the internal stress level, calculated from relaxation data, increased markedly with the filler content. The reduction in creep rate of the filled samples suggested that the CaCO3-particles induce a change in the structure of the HDPE-interphase close to the filler surface. This was supported by dynamic mechanical measurements performed at low temperatures on swollen HDPE-CaCO3 samples.  相似文献

根据光纤自诊断系统模块化、集成化要求,制作出光纤智能夹层,它可以铺设于复合材料结构表面或埋入复合材料结构内部。对智能夹层试件的轴向拉伸试验和层间拉伸试验表明,光纤智能夹层的埋入对复合材料结构的强度性能无显著影响,可以埋入复合材料结构内部并实施健康监测。试验还表明,在一定应变范围内,单膜交错光纤中光强—应变之间具有良好的线性关系,可以在埋入复合材料之前进行标定。  相似文献

The process of vortex formation in a cavity with inclined walls, which has a moderate aspect ratio, is experimentally studied, and the distribution of pressure coefficients is measured. The angle of inclination of the side walls ϕ is varied from 30 to 90°. It is found that the flow in the cavity becomes unstable in the range of inclination angles ϕ = 60–70°. Flow reconstruction occurs, which substantially alters the surface-temperature and static-pressure distributions. Large changes in these characteristics and their nonuniform distributions for these angles are observed across the cavity on its frontal wall and on the bottom. A closed form solution to the convective instability in a composite system of fluid and porous layers with vertical throughflow is presented. The boundaries are considered to be rigid-permeable and insulating to temperature perturbations. Flow in the porous layer is governed by Darcy–Forchheimer equation and the Beavers–Joseph condition is applied at the interface between the fluid and the porous layer. In contrast to the single-layer system, it is found that destabilization due to throughflow arises, and the ratio of fluid layer thickness to porous layer thickness, , too, plays a crucial role in deciding the stability of the system depending on the Prandtl number.  相似文献

Electrical aspects of aircraft jet engine operation are considered. A phenomenon previously observed experimentally, namely, the disappearance of the engine current and alternating electric signal induced by the engine jet in the afterburner regime, is explained. It is shown that this phenomenon results from the detachment of electrons from negative ions when the gas temperature in the afterburner increases. This leads to an increase in the effective conductivity of the gas. As a result, the engine current circuit is closed on the internal duct walls and engine charging becomes insignificant.A physico-mathematical model of the electrical processes in the afterburner is formulated and model problems are solved.  相似文献

Numerical modeling of the time-dependent supersonic flow over a compression corner with different roundness radii is performed on the basis of the solution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in the regimes corresponding to local boundary layer separation. The development of unstable disturbances generated by local periodic injection/suction in the preseparated boundary layer is calculated. The results are compared with those of similar calculations for a flat plate. It is shown that the natural oscillations of the boundary-layer second mode stabilize in the separation zone and grow intensely downstream of the reattachment point. The acoustic modes excited within a separation bubble are studied using numerical calculations and an asymptotic analysis.  相似文献

利用多尺度法构造了一个立方非线性1:3内共振系统的内共振非线性模态(NonlinearNormal Modes associated with internal resonance).研究表明,内共振非线性系统除存在单模态运动外还存在耦合模态运动.耦合内共振模态具有分岔特性.利用奇异性理论对模态分岔方程进行分析发现此类系统的模态存在叉形点分岔和滞后点分岔这两种典型的分岔模式.  相似文献

叙述了适用于粘弹性流体混合层流场的实验装置的设计和研制.采用二维激光多普勒系统对混合层流场进行了测量,得到了平均速度剖面、动量厚度、湍流脉动强度、雷诺应力等一些流场的基本特征量.结果表明,混合层中加入聚合物后流场将有较大的变化,同时也说明本文所研制的实验装置满足实验的要求.  相似文献
