For industrialised economy of ourdays, remanufacturing represents perhaps the largest unexploited resource and opportunity
for realising a greater growth of the economy in an environmental-conscious manner. The aim of this paper is to investigate
of the impact of remanufacturing in the economy from an economic-efficiency point of view. In static context this phenomenon
was analysed in the literature. We use the multi-sector input–output framework in a dynamic context to study intra-period
relationships of the sectors of economy. We extend the classical dynamic input–output model taking into consideration the

The Minimal Higgsless Model predicts the existence of new vector gauge boson W1± . By the process PP → W1± qq → W±Z0qq, Z0 → l+l-, W±→ qq (l=e,μ; q is hadronized to be jets), we study the sensitivity of searching for this possible vector gauge boson in the level of generator events of signal and backgrounds, then give integrated luminosity required to discover 5σ signal as a function of W1± mass. The generator for the signal PP→W1± qq→W±Z0qq at tree level is developed with the Minimal Higgsless Model and then interfaced with PYTHIA for the parton showers and hadronization. This paper introduces a novel vertical handoff decision scheme. The objective is to provide users with enhanced quality of service (QoS) and maximize the network revenue. This scheme balances both-side interests via a suitably defined network merit function and a user–operator negotiation model. The merit function evaluates network performance based on user preferences and decides the most appropriate network for users. The negotiation model is defined as a semi-Markov decision process (SMDP). An optimal policy that maximizes the network revenue without violating QoS constraints is found by resolving the SMDP problem using Q-learning. Furthermore, a time-adaptive QoS monitoring mechanism is combined with the merit function in order to decrease the power consumption on terminal interface activation. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed vertical handoff decision scheme enhances the performance in terms of power consumption, handoff call-dropping probability (HCDP) and network revenue. 相似文献

This paper presents a decision support tool for airlines schedule recovery during irregular operations. The tool provides airlines control centers with the capability to develop a proactive schedule recovery plan that integrates all flight resources. A rolling horizon modeling framework, which integrates a schedule simulation model and a resource assignment optimization model, is adopted for this tool. The schedule simulation model projects the list of disrupted flights in the system as function of the severity of anticipated disruptions. The optimization model examines possible resource swapping and flight re-quoting to generate an efficient schedule recovery plan that minimizes flight delays and cancellations. A detailed example that illustrates the application of the tool to recover the schedule of a major US air-carrier during a hypothetical ground delay program scenario is presented. We consider price competition with a linear demand function and compare two cases. In the first case each distribution channel is vertically integrated, while in the second, decentralised, case the manufacturers and retailers act independently. We explore the effect of varying the level of price competition on the profits of the industry participants and demonstrate the important role played by the spread of underlying market shares. A simple exact formula is derived for the profile of the optical pulse propagating over a DM fiber with zero mean dispersion. The dissipation is neglected, and dispersion is assumed to be constant along the adjacent legs of the waveguide, thus providing the applicability of the integrable NLS models within each leg. The formula describes a class of solutions called dispersion-managed solitons (DM solitons), which are periodic along the waveguide and exponentially localized in time. The DM solitons are parameterized by a certain class of spectral data, specified from numerical simulations. Using a related Riemann–Hilbert problem, we reconstruct a profile of the DM soliton from the given spectral data. For sufficiently long legs, the leading term of DM soliton is found in explicit form by asymptotic undressing of the Riemann–Hilbert problem. This paper addresses a coordination problem concerning two production agents in a manufacturing system. The two agents have a set of processes which must be carried out on some common resource. They can use the resource individually, but in general there may be an overall advantage in concurrently performing certain processes. The problem is to select concurrent processes and to sequence them with the aim of minimizing the total number of set-ups. In particular, a decomposition approach is proposed, in which first the concurrent processes are selected, by solving a generalized network flow problem, and then an optimal process sequencing is efficiently found.AMS classification:
