Sufficient optimality conditions and duality in vector optimization with invex-convexlike functions

We prove the Kuhn-Tucker sufficient optimality condition, the Wolfe duality, and a modified Mond-Weir duality for vector optimization problems involving various types of invex-convexlike functions. The class of such functins contains many known generalized convex functions. As applications, we demonstrate that, under invex-convexlikeness assumptions, the Pontryagin maximum principle is a sufficient optimality condition for cooperative differential games. The Wolfe duality is established for these games.The author is indebted to the referees and Professor W. On the phase space approach to complexity

We elaborate in some detail on a new phase space approach to complexity, due to Y.-C. Zhang. We show in particular that the connection between maximal complexity and power law noise or correlations can be derived from a simple variational principle. For a 1D signal we find 1/f noise, in accordance with Zhang.

Optimal control problems with applications to the elimination of substrate diffusing and convecting through immobilized enzyme

Some optimization problems concerning a substrate in a fluid are considered. The concentration of the substrate is affected by diffusion, convection, and elimination by enzymes, and the problem is to find the optimal distribution of enzymes. In this paper, the rate of elimination and the transmission coefficient are optimized. Mathematically, these problems are optimal control problems, and they are analyzed by means of Pontryagin's maximum principle.

提出并使用如下广义复合隐迭代格式逼近非扩张映像族{Ti}Ni=1公共不动点:{xn=αnxn-1 (1-αn)Tnyn,yn=rnxn snxn-1 tnTnxn wnTnxn-1,rn sn tn wn=1,{αn},{rn},{sn},{tn},{wn}∈[0,1],这里Tn=TnmodN.该文提出的广义复合隐迭代格式包含了目前多种迭代格式,因此,所得强弱收敛定理推广及发展了Mann,Ishikawa,XuandOri,等许多作者的结果.     

On new forms of motive differential equations of a mechanical system relative to non-inertial frame

Based on D'Alembert's principle of a mechanical system relative to non-inertial frame and by introducing the concept of the generalized inertial potential, new forms of differential equations of motion of a mechanical system with holonomic and the non-holonomic constraints relative to the non-inertial frame are obtained. The merits and demerits between our method and the Newtonian dynamic method as well as the analytic dynamic method are discussed comparatively. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the application of the motive differential equations in the new forms.     

On a generalization of Pólya’s theorem

We consider generalizations of Pólya’s theorem to the case of entire functions taking algebraic values at natural or integer points.
