In this paper, we study the infinite-horizon expected discounted continuous-time optimal control problem for Piecewise Deterministic Markov Processes with both impulsive and gradual (also called continuous) controls. The set of admissible control strategies is supposed to be formed by policies possibly randomized and depending on the past-history of the process. We assume that the gradual control acts on the jump intensity and on the transition measure, but not on the flow. The so-called Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation associated to this optimization problem is analyzed. We provide sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution to the HJB equation and show that the solution is in fact unique and coincides with the value function of the control problem. Moreover, the existence of an optimal control strategy is proven having the property to be stationary and non-randomized.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a practical exponential stability result for impulsive dynamic systems depending on a parameter. Stability theorem and converse stability theorem are established by employing the second Lyapunov method. These theorems are used to analyze the practical exponential stability of the solution of perturbed impulsive systems and cascaded impulsive systems, depending on a parameter. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and its vaccination strategy may affect human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) transmission dynamics because both viruses have synergistic effects. To quantitatively assess the potential impact of HBV and its vaccination strategy on HIV transmission dynamics at the population level, in this paper, we formulate a deterministic compartmental model that describes the joint dynamics of HBV and HIV. We first derive the explicit expressions for the basic reproduction numbers of HIV and HBV and analyze the dynamics of HIV and HBV subsystems, respectively. Then a systematic qualitative analysis of the full system is also provided, which includes the local and global behavior. By using a set of reasonable parameter values, the full system is numerically investigated to assess the potential impact of HBV and its vaccination strategy on HIV transmission. The direct and indirect population level impact of HBV on HIV is demonstrated by calculating the fraction of HIV infections attributable to HBV and the difference between HIV prevalence in the presence and absence of HBV, respectively. The findings imply that the increase of HBV vaccination rate may unusually accelerate HIV epidemics indirectly, although the direct effect of HBV on HIV transmission decreases as HBV vaccination rate increases. Some results on the existence and uniqueness of mild solution for a system of semilinear impulsive differential equations with infinite fractional Brownian motions are proved. The approach is based on Perov's fixed point theorem and a new version of Schaefer's fixed point theorem in generalized Banach spaces. The relationship between mild and weak solutions and the exponential stability of mild solutions are investigated as well. The abstract theory is illustrated with an example.  相似文献

Vacuum spacetimes endowed with two commuting spacelike Killing vector fields are considered. Subject to the hypothesis that there exists a shearfree null geodesic congruence orthogonal to the two-surface generated by the two commuting spacelike Killing vector fields,it is shown that, with a specific choice of null tetrad, the Newman-Penrose equations are reduced to an ordinary differential equation of Riccati type. fiom the consideration of this differential equation, exact solutions of the vacuum Einstein field equations with distribution valued Weyl curvature describing the propagation of gravitational impulsive and shock wave of variable polarization are then constructed.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an optimal control problem of microbial fermentation process in which glycerol is converted to 1,3-propanediol by Klebsiella pneumoniae in fed-batch culture. During the period of reaction, the variation of pH value is monitored to determine glycerol replenishment quantity, guaranteeing that microorganism can always keep growing fast under enough nutrition. Every time pH value is lower than seven, the quantity of glycerol added is such that pH value returns seven again. Glycerol is poured into reactor at discrete time instant and the quantity is controllable. The problem is to determine for each discrete time instant the glycerol quantity to add and maximize the final concentration of 1,3-propanediol. We present a controlled explicit nonlinear impulsive dynamical system of fed-batch culture with state independent vector measures as controls and study the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, continuous dependence and Gâteaux differentiability of its solution with respect to controls. We then propose a multiple objective programming model and demonstrate the regularity of cost functionals and weak compactness of admissible control set. Finally we discuss the existence of optimal control and implement a hybrid particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve the model optimally. Computational results are presented on a numerical example.  相似文献

The dynamical behavior of an SIR epidemic model with birth pulse and pulse vaccination is discussed by means of both theoretical and numerical ways. This paper investigates the existence and stability of the infection-free periodic solution and the epidemic periodic solution. By using the impulsive effects, a Poincaré map is obtained. The Poincaré map, center manifold theorem, and bifurcation theorem are used to discuss flip bifurcation and bifurcation of the epidemic periodic solution. Moreover, the numerical results show that the epidemic periodic solution (period-one) bifurcates from the infection-free periodic solution through a supercritical bifurcation, the period-two solution bifurcates from the epidemic periodic solution through flip bifurcation, and the chaotic solution generated via a cascade of period-doubling bifurcations, which are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献
