TERAHERTZ QUALITY CONTROL OF POLYMERIC PRODUCTS

We report on experiments that evaluate the potential of terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) for quality control of polymeric compounds. We investigate specimens out of a polyethylene compound with silver-coated titanium dioxide nanospheres and a glass-fiber reinforced epoxy composite. We further examine an industrial polymer product produced by injection molding. Our data demonstrates that THz imaging is a powerful tool for contactless quality control in the polymer industry.     

Long-range predictive adaptive fuzzy relational control

A class of long-range predictive adaptive fuzzy relational controllers is presented. The plant behavior is described over an extended time horizon by a fuzzy relational model which is identified based on input-output closed-loop observations of the plant variables. In this class of adaptive controllers the control law attempts to minimize a quadratic cost over an extended control horizon. When used with linear models, this approach has revealed a significant potential for overcoming the limitations of one-step ahead schemes, such as the stabilization of non-minimum phase plants. Here, a uniform framework is adopted for implementing both the fuzzy model and the fuzzy controller, namely distributed fuzzy relational structures gaining from their massive parallel processing features and from the learning capabilities typical of the connectivist approaches. Issues such as maintenance during the adaptation process of the meaning of linguistic terms used at both fuzzy systems interfaces are addressed, namely by introducing a new design methodology for on-line fuzzy systems interface adaptation. The examples presented reinforce the claim of the usefulness of this new approach.     

SOLVABILITY OF FORWARD-BACKWARD SDES AND THE NODAL SET OF HAMILTON-JACOBI-BELLMAN EQUATIONS

The solvability of a class of forward-backward stochastic differential equations (SDEs for short) over an arbitrarily prescribed time duration is studied. The authors design a stochastic relaxed control problem, with both drift and difftusion all being controlled, so that the solvability problem is converted to a problem of finding the nodal set of the viscosity solution to a certain Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. This method overcomes the fatal difficulty encountered in the traditional contraction mapping approach to the existence theorem of such SDEs.

一、引 言 利用垂直场反馈控制等离子体位移是所有托卡马克装置运行的重要组成部分。对于中小型的托卡马克装置,人们曾倾向于用大功率晶闸管作反馈系统的调节器。它所遇到的主要困难有:第一需要有一个较大功率的中频电源。无论是中频发电机或者是逆变器都需要有较大的投资。另一方面受到中频电源的频率及晶闸管的关断时间的限制使反馈系统的时间响     

双组元姿控发动机反流特性的DSMC模拟

为准确获得双组元姿控发动机的羽流及其反流特性,采用直接模拟蒙特卡罗(DSMC)方法结合可变软球(VSS)模型数值模拟以N2O4/MMH为推进剂的真空羽流。喷口参数由喷管流动的DSMC法计算得到。与文献比较表明本文计算程序可信。模拟结果表明,分子质量越小的气体越容易进入反流区;本文的计算条件下,在偏离X轴正向116°~140°范围内,组分数密度和质量流率以及温度均出现了最大值。     

关于多目标数学规划的最优性条件

本文讨论定义于Ｂａｎａｃｈ空间的多目标数学规划，得到一些ε－最优解和（弱）有效解的必要条件，充分条件和必要充分条件。     

随机参数Duffing系统中的随机混沌及其延迟反馈控制

研究了谐和激励下含有界随机参数Duffing系统(简称随机Duffing系统)中的随机混沌及其延迟反馈控制问题.借助Gegenbauer多项式逼近理论，将随机Duffing系统转化为与其等效的确定性非线性系统.这样，随机Duffing系统在谐和激励下的混沌响应及其控制问题就可借等效的确定性非线性系统来研究.分析阐明了随机混沌的主要特点，并采用Wolf算法计算等效确定性非线性系统的最大Lyapunov指数，以判别随机Duffing系统的动力学行为.数值计算表明，恰当选取不同的反馈强度和延迟时间，可分别达到抑制或诱发系统混沌的目的，说明延迟反馈技术对随机混沌控制也是十分有效的. 关键词： 随机Duffing系统 延迟反馈控制 随机混沌 Gegenbauer多项式     

耦合发电机系统的自适应控制与同步

讨论了耦合发电机系统的自适应控制和参数未知时的自适应同步问题.设计了自适应控制器，将耦合发电机系统的混沌轨道镇定到平衡点，并使得两个参数未知的耦合发电机系统达到了混沌同步.数值模拟验证了所设计的控制器的有效性. 关键词： 耦合发电机系统 自适应控制 平衡点 同步     

The Spirit Is Willing: Nonlinearity, Bifurcations, and Mental Control

In recent years there has been considerable interest in the construction of nonlinear models of the dynamics of human behavior. In this exploratory article we argue that attempts at controlling problematic thoughts, emotions, or behaviors can lead to nonlinearity in mental/behavioral dynamics. We illustrate our model by fitting threshold autoregression models to self-recorded time series of the daily highs in intensity of anxiety and obsessive ruminations, kept by an individual in therapy for this problem. In our discussion, we raise the possibility that bifurcations that occur in this nonlinear model may offer insight into mental control paradoxes.     

Approximate controllability for trajectories of semilinear control systems

We treat an abstract semilinear control system and study the controllability problem for its trajectories. Assuming a range condition of the control action operator and an inequality condition on the system parameters, we can show that the reachable trajectory set of the semilinear system is equivalent to that of its corresponding linear system.The author wishes to express his deep appreciation to Prof. T.
