An overview of integral representations and their application to partial differential equations can be found in H. Begehr's and R. P.Gilbert's two volumes [2]. Interior esitmates in the Hijlder norm for very general (elliptic) systems of partial differential equations can be found in A. Douglis' and L. Let F n be the free group on n ≥ 2 elements and Aut(F n ) its group of automorphisms. In this paper we present a rich collection of linear representations of Aut(F n ) arising through the action of finite-index subgroups of it on relation modules of finite quotient groups of F n . Let f(x), h(x) ∈ K[x] be irreducible separable polynomials of degree n and m respectively. Suppose that the Galois group Gal(f) of f acts doubly transitively on the set of roots of f and that Gal(h) acts doubly transitively on as well. Let J(Cf,) and J(Ch,) be the Jacobians of the superelliptic curves Cf,:y=f(x) and Ch,:y=h(x) respectively. We prove that J(Cf,) and J(Ch,) are not isogenous over Ka if the splitting fields of f and h are linearly disjoint over K and K contains a primitive th root of unity.  相似文献

We classify the quasi-finite irreducible highest weight modules over the infinite rank Lie superalgebras , and , and determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for such modules to be unitarizable. The unitarizable irreducible modules are constructed in terms of Fock spaces of free quantum fields, and explicit formulae for their formal characters are also obtained by investigating Howe dualities between the infinite rank Lie superalgebras and classical Lie groups.

We characterize the angular polyspectra, of arbitrary order, associated with isotropic fields defined on the sphere S2={(x,y,z):x2+y2+z2=1}. Our techniques rely heavily on group representation theory, and specifically on the properties of Wigner matrices and Clebsch–Gordan coefficients. The findings of the present paper constitute a basis upon which one can build formal procedures for the statistical analysis and the probabilistic modelization of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation, which is currently a crucial topic of investigation in cosmology. We also outline an application to random data compression and “simulation” of Clebsch–Gordan coefficients.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to characterize the growth of one student’s mathematical understanding and use of different representations about a geometric transformation, dilation. We accomplished this purpose by using the Pirie-Kieren model jointly with the Semiotic Representation Theory as a lens. Elif, a 10th- grade student, was purposefully chosen as the case for this study because of the growth of mathematical understanding about dilation she exhibited over time. Elif participated in task-based interviews before, during and after participating in a variety of transformation lessons where she used multiple representations, including physical and virtual manipulatives. The results revealed that Elif was able to progress in her mathematical understanding from informal levels to the formal levels in the Pirie-Kieren model as she performed treatments and conversions, movements involving different registers of representations. The results also showed numerous examples of Elif’s mathematical understanding based on folding back activities, complementary aspects of acting and expressing, and interventions. Using the two theories together provides a powerful and holistic approach to a deeper understanding of mathematical learning by characterizing and articulating the growth of mathematical understanding and the way of mathematical thinking.  相似文献
