Continuity of Multilinear Operators in Weighted Herz Spaces with Extreme Exponents

Continuity is obtained of some multilinear operators related to certain integral operators for the weighted Herz spaces with extreme exponents. The operators include the Littlewood–Paley and Marcinkiewicz operators.

Partially isometric dilations of noncommuting -tuples of operators

Given a row contraction of operators on a Hilbert space and a family of projections on the space that stabilizes the operators, we show there is a unique minimal joint dilation to a row contraction of partial isometries that satisfy natural relations. For a fixed row contraction the set of all dilations forms a partially ordered set with a largest and smallest element. A key technical device in our analysis is a connection with directed graphs. We use a Wold decomposition for partial isometries to describe the models for these dilations, and we discuss how the basic properties of a dilation depend on the row contraction.

     

On fixed point and almost fixed point problems of lower semicontinuous type multivalued mappings

In the present paper, some new almost fixed point theorems and fixed point theorems for lower semicontinuous type multivalued mappings are obtained in metrizable H-spaces.     

Structure and properties of the mesophase of syndiotactic polystyrene. II. Effect of stepwise extraction on the preparation of the mesophase

In this study, a novel stepwise extraction method has been examined. The guest molecules housed between the helices of the clathrate δ form of syndiotactic polystyrene can be removed completely with this method. A systematic study of the preparation of a solvent‐free mesophase (emptied clathrate) membrane, its helical and residual solvent contents, and its structural transformations has been performed. In this first attempt, an enhancement in the TTGG helical content has been observed in the extracted membrane, and a conceptual mechanism is proposed. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. CONVERGENCE OF CASCADE ALGORITHMS AND SMOOTHNESS OF REFINABLE DISTRIBUTIONS

In this paper, the author at first develops a method to study convergence of the cascade algorithm in a Banach space without stable assumption on the initial (see Theorem 2.1), and then applies the previous result on the convergence to characterizing compactly supported refinable distributions in fractional Sobolev spaces and Holder continuous spaces (see Theorems 3.1, 3.3, and 3.4). Finally the author applies the above characterization to choosing appropriate initial to guarantee the convergence of the cascade algorithm (see Theorem 4.2).

阐述了空间辐射环境监测的意义,描述了半导体带电粒子探测器的研制及由其组成的望远镜系统在空间物理中的应用,并给出了用此探测器在卫星上进行地球辐射环境监测、太阳质子事件和地磁暴探测的部分结果.
