利用范数形式的锥上不动点定理,研究了一类二阶微分方程三点边值问题单调正解的存在性．分别给出了齐次和非齐次边界条件下的三点边值问题单调正解存在的充分条件,确定了解曲线的凹凸性,并且给出了一个应用实例．     

Mathematical modelling and analytical solution for workpiece temperature in grinding

This paper deals with modelling the workpiece temperature field produced during the grinding process. The proposed model is given in terms of a two-dimensional boundary-value problem where the interdependence among the grinding wheel, the workpiece and the coolant is described by two variable functions in the boundary condition. An explicit integral form solution is constructed using the Laplace and Fourier transforms and the Green’s function method.

An experimental study of dynamic tensile properties of glass fiber at low-temperatures

Tensile impact experiments of EC8.0−24×7 glass fiber bundles at different low temperaturesT(14°C, −40°C and −10°C) and strain rates ɛ were carried out, and complete stress-strain curves were obtained. Within the range of the experiment temperatures and strain rates, it is found that the initial modulusE, the ultimate strength σ_max and the unstable strain ɛ _b of the glass fiber bundles all increase with ɛ at an identicalT. At an identical ɛ, with the decrease ofT, E and σ_max increase; but ɛ _b increases when 10°C>T>−40°C and decreases when −40°C>T>−100°C. The strain-rate- and temperature-dependent bimodal Weibull statistical constitutive theory was adopted for the statistical analysis of the experimental results, and the Weibull parameters of single fiber were obtained. The results show that the bimodal Weibull distribution function is suitable to represent the strength distribution of the glass fiber at low temperature and different strain rates. The differences in the mechanical properties between EC8.0−24×7 and EC5.5−12 ×14 glass fiber bundles were also discussed. On the Modified Crystalline Stefan Problem with Singular Data

We study the behavior of solutions of the modified Stefan problem in the plane for polygonal interfaces. We are particularly interested in a solution near a singularity of either the loss of a facet or the breaking of a facet. We establish precise regularity results if a facet disappears. We use them to establish the existence of a weak solution with singular data, i.e., when some of the zero-crystalline-curvature facets have zero length.     

What Is a Quantum Stochastic Differential Equation from the Point of View of Functional Analysis?

We prove that a quantum stochastic differential equation is the interaction representation of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger equation with Hamiltonian given by a certain operator restricted by a boundary condition. If the deficiency index of the boundary-value problem is trivial, then the corresponding quantum stochastic differential equation has a unique unitary solution. Therefore, by the deficiency index of a quantum stochastic differential equation we mean the deficiency index of the related symmetric boundary-value problem.In this paper, conditions sufficient for the essential self-adjointness of the symmetric boundary-value problem are obtained. These conditions are closely related to nonexplosion conditions for the pair of master Markov equations that we canonically assign to the quantum stochastic differential equation.     

Moderate Deviations for Longest Increasing Subsequences: The Lower Tail

We derive a moderate deviation principle for the lower tail probabilities of the length of a longest increasing subsequence in a random permutation. It refers to the regime between the lower tail large deviation regime and the central limit regime. The present article together with the upper tail moderate deviation principle in Ref. 12 yields a complete picture for the whole moderate deviation regime. Other than in Ref. 12, we can directly apply estimates by Baik, Deift, and Johansson, who obtained a (non-standard) Central Limit Theorem for the same quantity.     

脉冲微分方程的上、下解及其在常微分方程上的应用

In this paper, we establish the existence of upper and lower solutions for a periodic boundary value problems (PBVP for short) of impulsive differential equations. which guarantees the existence of at least one solution for the problem. As an application, these results are applied to PBVP of ODE and some examples are given to illustrate our results.
