Lie algebroid modules and representations up to homotopy

We establish a relationship between two different generalizations of Lie algebroid representations: representation up to homotopy and Vaĭntrob’s Lie algebroid modules. Specifically, we show that there is a noncanonical way to obtain a representation up to homotopy from a given Lie algebroid module, and that any two representations up to homotopy obtained in this way are equivalent in a natural sense. We therefore obtain a one-to-one correspondence, up to equivalence.     

超滤函子余代数范畴

研究了超滤函子余代数范畴set_(F_u)的乘积和余积问题.首先构造了集合乘积上的超滤,讨论集合乘积上超滤的存在形式;接着利用超滤函子的性质给出了范畴set_(F_u)的有限乘积以及任意余积构造;最后证明了范畴set_(F_u)的终对象存在.改进了Gumm关于滤子函子的研究结果,深化了相关文献关于超滤函子余代数的研究.     

广义Comma范畴的Recollement

本文研究广义Comma范畴上Recollement问题.利用Abel范畴上Recollement及其伴随函子,诱导出广义Comma范畴,并利用比较函子构造出广义Comma范畴上的Recollement.这些结果推广了一般Abel范畴上的Recollement,丰富了Comma范畴研究.     

A new characterization of for countable spectra of (LB)-spaces

The derived projective limit functor Proj¹ is a very useful tool for investigating surjectivity problems in various parts of analysis (e.g. solvability of partial differential equations).

We provide a new characterization for vanishing Proj¹ on projective spectra of (LB)-spaces which improves a classical result of V. P. Palamodov and V. S. Retakh.

     

Some computational methods for systems of nonlinear equations and systems of polynomial equations

This paper gives a brief survey and assessment of computational methods for finding solutions to systems of nonlinear equations and systems of polynomial equations. Starting from methods which converge locally and which find one solution, we progress to methods which are globally convergent and find an a priori determinable number of solutions. We will concentrate on simplicial algorithms and homotopy methods. Enhancements of published methods are included and further developments are discussed.     

André-Quillen cohomology and rational homotopy of function spaces

We develop a simple theory of André-Quillen cohomology for commutative differential graded algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We then relate it to the homotopy groups of function spaces and spaces of homotopy self-equivalences of rational nilpotent CW-complexes. This puts certain results of Sullivan in a more conceptual framework.     

Invariants of Directed Spaces

Directed spaces are the objects of study within directed algebraic topology. They are characterised by spaces of directed paths associated to a source and a target, both elements of an underlying topological space. The algebraic topology of these path spaces and their connections are studied from a categorical perspective. In particular, we study the preorder category associated to a directed space and various “quotient” categories arising from algebraic topological functors. Furthermore, we propose and study a new notion of directed homotopy equivalence between directed spaces.      

Topology of complete intersections

Let X _n (d) and X _n (d') be two n-dimensional complete intersections with the same total degree d. In this paper we prove that, if n is even and d has no prime factors less than , then X _n (d) and X _n (d') are homotopy equivalent if and only if they have the same Euler characteristics and signatures. This confirms a conjecture of Libgober and Wood [16]. Furthermore, we prove that, if d has no prime factors less than , then X _n (d) and X _n (d') are homeomorphic if and only if their Pontryagin classes and Euler characteristics agree. The p-Blocks of the Mackey Algebra

Let p be a prime number. This paper describes the primitive idempotents and prime spectrum of the crossed Burnside algebra of a finite group over a p-local ring. The main application is a formula for the block idempotents of the p-local Mackey algebra of the group, in terms of the corresponding bloks of the group algebra.
