To account for the non-equilibrium character of quark-gluon plasma formation in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, it is proposed to use the product of energy density ? and interaction time τint (rather than ?) as the critical quantity for plasma formation. In a geometrical model, τ is approximated by the transit time, and ? by the maximum energy density calculated in the center-of-mass frame. For central collisions, an analytical expression for ?·τ is given. As an example, the systems 16O + 16O and 208Pb + 208Pb are investigated as functions of c.m. energy, and their respective suitability for plasma formation is discussed.  相似文献

Chemisorption of 1,1-dichloroethene (Cl2CCH2) to a Si(1 1 1)-7 × 7 surface was studied by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation, recording chlorine 2p and carbon 1s spectra. For carbon 1s, spectral assignment of the chemisorbed species is based on quantum chemical calculations of chemical shifts in model compounds.The results confirm the identity of covalently bonded 1-chlorovinyl (-CClCH2) and vinylidene (CCH2) adspecies. Upon chemisorption at room temperature it was found that about one-third of the molecules break one C-Cl bond while about two-thirds of the adsorbates break two C-Cl bonds. We do not, however, find evidence for isomerization of CCH2 to di-bonded vinylene (-CHCH-).  相似文献

An analytical moment-based method for calculating structural first failure times under non-Gaussian stochastic behavior is proposed.In the method,a power series that constants can be obtained from response moments (skewness,kurtosis,etc.) is used firstly to map a non-Gaussian structural response into a standard Gaussian process,then mean up-crossing rates,mean clump size and the initial passage probability of a critical barrier level by the original structural response are estimated,and finally,the formula for calculating first failure times is established on the assumption that corrected up-crossing rates are independent.An analysis of a nonlinear single-degree-of-freedom dynamical system excited by a Gaussian model of load not only demonstrates the usage of the proposed method but also shows the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method by comparisons between the present method and other methods such as Monte Carlo simulation and the traditional Ganssian model.  相似文献

The main aim of this work is to develop a consistent formulation of the rheological behavior for different anisotropic polymer systems. The unified theory of anisotropic viscoelasticity is developed based on the symmetry principles. The Maxwell rheological equation is extended to nonsymmetric anisotropic liquids. Transitions from the most general anisotropy to particular cases of anisotropy are established. It appears that the coupled relaxation of symmetric and antisymmetric stresses is a natural phenomenon in nonsymmetric viscoelasticity. Within the concept of an internal state variable, a stress–order relation is derived for a fully nonlinear case. The order tensor dynamics is also considered. A simple method of deriving the equation of the internal rotational motion is developed for the general macroscopic anisotropy. Potential theory and Stokes' stream function techniques are used to investigate the flow structure around the recirculation system developed by Gvirtzman and Gorelick (1992, 1993), which consists of an extraction well and a gallery (trench) for the recharge of treated water to the aquifer. Analytical formulas are derived for the drawdown, velocity, and stream function for a model in which the extraction well is modeled as a uniformly distributed line sink and the gallery is modeled as a uniformly distributed ring source. Travel times are reported for water particles traveling along the streamlines containing 50 and 90% of the flow for various degrees of well penetration and various radii of the ring source. The travel times along the streamline resulting in the shortest travel time (not necessarily the shortest path) are also reported for various degrees of well penetration and various radii of the ring source. The method completely eliminates the use of numerical finite-difference or finite-element methods and can be used for optimization of technological parameters of this remediation system.  相似文献

We establish a stochastic extension of Ramsey's theorem. Any Markov chain generates a filtration relative to which one may define a notion of stopping times. A stochastic colouring is any k-valued (k<∞) colour function defined on all pairs consisting of a bounded stopping time and a finite partial history of the chain truncated before this stopping time. For any bounded stopping time θ and any infinite history ω of the Markov chain, let ω|θ denote the finite partial history up to and including the time θ(ω). Given k=2, for every ?>0, we prove that there is an increasing sequence θ1<θ2<? of bounded stopping times having the property that, with probability greater than 1−?, the history ω is such that the values assigned to all pairs (ω|θi,θj), with i<j, are the same. Just as with the classical Ramsey theorem, we also obtain an analogous finitary stochastic Ramsey theorem. Furthermore, with appropriate finiteness assumptions, the time one must wait for the last stopping time (in the finitary case) is uniformly bounded, independently of the probability transitions. We extend the classical linear assignment problem to the case where the cost of assigning agent j to task i is a multiplication of task i’s cost parameter by a cost function of agent j. The cost function of agent j is a linear function of the amount of resource allocated to the agent. A solution for our assignment problem is defined by the assignment of agents to tasks and by a resource allocation to each agent. The quality of a solution is measured by two criteria. The first criterion is the total assignment cost and the second is the total weighted resource consumption. We address these criteria via four different problem variations. We prove that our assignment problem is NP-hard for three of the four variations, even if all the resource consumption weights are equal. However, and somewhat surprisingly, we find that the fourth variation is solvable in polynomial time. In addition, we find that our assignment problem is equivalent to a large set of important scheduling problems whose complexity has been an open question until now, for three of the four variations.  相似文献

This paper addresses a novel approach to deal with Flexible task Time Assembly Line Balancing Problem (FTALBP). In this regard, machines are considered in which operation time of each task can be between lower and upper bounds. These machines can compress the processing time of tasks, but this action may lead to higher cost due to cumulative wear, erosion, fatigue and so on. This cost is described in terms of task time via a linear function. Hence, a bi-criteria nonlinear integer programming model is developed which comprises two inconsistent objective functions: minimizing the cycle time and minimizing the machine total costs. In order to sustain these objectives concurrently, this paper applies the LP-metric method to make a combined dimensionless objective. Moreover, a genetic algorithm (GA) is presented to solve this NP-hard problem and design of experiments (DOE) method is hired to tune various parameters of our proposed algorithm. The computational results demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented procedures.  相似文献

Most solution methods for the vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) develop routes from the earliest feasible departure time. In practice, however, temporary traffic congestion make such solutions non-optimal with respect to minimizing the total duty time. Furthermore, the VRPTW does not account for driving hours regulations, which restrict the available travel time for truck drivers. To deal with these problems, we consider the vehicle departure time optimization (VDO) problem as a post-processing of a VRPTW. We propose an ILP formulation that minimizes the total duty time. The results of a case study indicate that duty time reductions of 15% can be achieved. Furthermore, computational experiments on VRPTW benchmarks indicate that ignoring traffic congestion or driving hours regulations leads to practically infeasible solutions. Therefore, new vehicle routing methods should be developed that account for these common restrictions. We propose an integrated approach based on classical insertion heuristics.  相似文献
