Sr3(BS3)2 and Sr3(B3S6)2: Two Novel Non‐oxidic Chalcogenoborates with Boron in a Trigonal‐Planar Coordination The thioborates Sr3(BS3)2 and Sr3(B3S6)2 were prepared from strontium sulfide, amorphous boron and sulfur in solid state reactions at a temperature of 1123 K. In a systematic study on the structural cation influence on this type of ternary compounds, the crystal structures were determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction. Sr3(BS3)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic spacegroup C2/c (No. 15) with a = 10.187(4) Å, b = 6.610(2) Å, c = 15.411(7) Å, β = 102.24(3)° and Z = 4. The crystal structure of Sr3(B3S6)2 is trigonal, spacegroup R3¯ (Nr. 148), with a = 8.605(1) Å, c = 21.542(4) Å and Z = 3. Sr3(BS3)2 contains isolated [BS3]3— anions with boron in a trigonal‐planar coordination. The strontium cations are found between the layers of orthothioborate anions. Sr3(B3S6)2 consists of cyclic [B3S6]3— anions and strontium cations, respectively. 相似文献

Combinatorial chemistry is a laboratory emulation of natural recombination and selection processes. Strategies in this developing discipline involve the generation of diverse, molecular libraries through combinatorial synthesis and the selection of compounds that possess a desired property. Such approaches can facilitate the identification of ligands that bind to biological receptors, promoting our chemical understanding of cellular processes. This article illustrates that the coupling of combinatorial synthesis, multidimensional NMR spectroscopy, and biochemical methods has enhanced our understanding of a protein receptor used commonly in signal transduction, the Src Homology 3 (SH3) domain. This novel approach to studying molecular recognition has revealed a set of rules that govern SH3–ligand interactions, allowing models of receptor–ligand complexes to be constructed with only a knowledge of the polypeptide sequences. Combining combinatorial synthesis with structural methods provides a powerful new approach to understanding how proteins bind their ligands in general. 相似文献

Pentacoordinate complex cations of the general formula [(C6F5)2SbL3]3+ stabilized as solid salts in combination with tetraphenylborate (BPh4), tetrafluorobroate (BF4) anions, where L=DMSO, Ph3AsO, PyO, DMF, α-, β- and γ-picoline have been isolated. The newly formed complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, solid-state IR and and NMR. As a second-generation pyridoxal model compound for cystathionine β-synthase, we designed a novel model compound having an ionophore function and an imidazole function, application of which to the β-replacement reaction with various thiols smoothly took place to give S-substituted cysteines. The UV photolysis of 2′-chloro-4-R-benzanilides in acetonitrile solution under nitrogen atmosphere leads to the formation of intramolecular photocyclization products (9-R-phenanthridin-6(5)-one, 20–30%), along with the minor photoreduction, photo-Fries, and intramolecular photosubstitution products. The photoreaction of 2′-chloro-4-R-benzanilide in acetonitrile solution containing 10% of water or aqueous sodium hydroxide however gives 2-(4-R-phenyl)-1,3-benzoxazole as a major product (30%) along with the photoreduction, photo-Fries and intramolecular photocyclization products. 相似文献

and other methods enabled the identification of some of the decomposition products. Comparative studies on the corresponding
chlorides: [Pb(bipy)]Cl2 and [Pb(bipy)3]Cl2, which can be considered as precursors of the hexachloroplumbate, were also undertaken. X-ray measurements enabled the tentative
determination of the crystal structure of [Pb(bipy)]Cl2. Hexachloroplumbate decomposes with the liberation of chlorine, water and organic ligands, and the process is accompanied
by the simultaneous transition of Pb(IV)→Pb(II). Chlorides release only ligands upon heating. Residues comprised always PbCl2.

Poly[(4-carboxyphenyl)acetylene] (poly-1) exhibits an intense induced circular dichroism (ICD) in the UV-visible region upon complexation with excess (R)-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine ((R)-2), owing to the formation of a predominantly single-handed helical conformation of the polymer backbone. In the presence of a small amount of (R)-2, poly-1 showed a very weak ICD due to the lack of a single-handed helical conformation. However, we have found that the co-addition of the excess bulky, achiral 1-naphthylmethylamine (5) with a small amount of (R)-2 caused a dramatic increase in the ICD magnitude, comparable to the full ICD induced by excess (R)-2. This indicates that an almost single-handed helix can be induced on poly-1 upon complexation with a small amount of (R)-2 assisted by achiral 5. Furthermore, the induced single-handed helical poly-1 could be successfully memorized by the replacement of (R)-2 and 5 with achiral 2-aminoethanol or n-butylamine. 相似文献

A novel series of the formula NdSrNi1−xCuxO4−δ were synthesized for various values of x ranging from 0 to 1 in 1 atm of O2 gas flow using conventional solid-state methods and were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and electrical resistivity measurements. The compounds have been shown to adopt the K2NiF4-type structure. The oxygen stoichiometry of the compounds was determined from thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). An analysis of the micro-structure of the neodymium strontium nickel copper oxide is described. All the samples were semi-conducting from room temperature down to 77 K. The effect of Cu2+ incorporation on the structural and electrical properties of NdSrNi1−xCuxO4−δ, 0?x?1, are discussed in terms of Jahn-Teller distortion of the (Ni/Cu)O6 octahedra and mixed valence character of copper. 相似文献

A nanostructural approach to analysis of proton ordering in gas hydrate cages has been worked out within the framework of the topological model of strong and weak H-bonds. The approach involves rejection of the periodic boundary conditions, decomposition of the H-bond net into spherical layers, and two-dimensional drawing of the structure of spherical (spheroidal) fragments in the form of conjugate Schlegel diagrams.
