In this paper, a new generalized compound Riccati equations rational expansion method （GCRERE） is proposed. Compared with most existing rational expansion methods and other sophisticated methods, the proposed method is not only recover some known solutions, but also find some new and general complexiton solutions. Being concise and straightforward, it is applied to the （2＋1）-dimensional Burgers equation. As a result, eight families of new exact analytical solutions for this equation are found. The method can also be applied to other nonlinear partial differential equations.

Remarks on multiple solutions for elliptic resonant problems

We obtain four nontrivial solutions for an elliptic resonant problem via Morse theory and Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method. Our result improves some recent works.

Elliptic problems with critical exponents and Hardy potentials

This paper is devoted to the existence of positive solutions of a Dirichlet problem with critical exponent and a singular potential. Under various assumption on the domain Ω, which include some kinds of unbounded domains, we prove the existence of ground states and of symmetric solutions.     

Positivity and positive definiteness in generalized function algebras

The definitions of positivity and positive definiteness are extended to generalized function algebras in coherence with the corresponding notions for distributions. Versions of Bochner's theorem for a positive definite Colombeau generalized function are given.

Error bounds for analytic systems and their applications

Using a 1958 result of Lojasiewicz, we establish an error bound for analytic systems consisting of equalities and inequalities defined by real analytic functions. In particular, we show that over any bounded region, the distance from any vectorx in the region to the solution set of an analytic system is bounded by a residual function, raised to a certain power, evaluated atx. For quadratic systems satisfying certain nonnegativity assumptions, we show that this exponent is equal to 1/2. We apply the error bounds to the Karush—Kuhn—Tucker system of a variational inequality, the affine variational inequality, the linear and nonlinear complementarity problem, and the 0–1 integer feasibility problem, and obtain new error bound results for these problems. Homogenization results for climatization problems

This paper deals with the homogenization of a nonlinear model for heat conduction through the exterior of a domain containing periodically distributed conductive grains. We assume that on the walls of the grains we have climatizators governing the heat flux through the boundary. The effective behavior of this nonlinear flow is described by a new elliptic boundary-value problem, containing an extra zero-order term which captures the effect of the boundary climatization.
