In this paper, we study the properties of generalized power series modules and the filtration dimensions of generalized power series algebras. We obtain that [[△S,≤]]- gfd([[AS,≤]]) =△-gfd(A) if A is an R-module where R is a perfect and coherent commutative algebra, and(R, ≤) is standardly stratified.     

Bifurcation in the stable manifold of a chemostat with general polynomial yields

A three‐dimensional chemostat with nth‐ and mth‐order polynomial yields, instead of the particular ones such as A+BS, A+BS², A+BS³, A+BS⁴, A+BS² + CS³, and A+BSⁿ, is proposed. The existence of limit cycles in the two‐dimensional stable manifold, the Hopf bifurcation, and the stability of the periodic solution created by the bifurcation is proved. Multiple and sign‐changing solutions for the multivalued p ‐Laplacian equation

We consider a class of elliptic inclusions under Dirichlet boundary conditions involving multifunctions of Clarke's generalized gradient. Under conditions given in terms of the first eigenvalue as well as the Fu?ik spectrum of the p ‐Laplacian we prove the existence of a positive, a negative and a sign‐changing solution. Our approach is based on variational methods for nonsmooth functionals (nonsmooth critical point theory, second deformation lemma), and comparison principles for multivalued elliptic problems. In particular, the existence of extremal constant‐sign solutions plays a key role in the proof of sign‐changing solutions (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)     

Spectral theory and iterative methods for the Maxwell system in nonsmooth domains

We study spectral properties of boundary integral operators which naturally arise in the study of the Maxwell system of equations in a Lipschitz domain Ω ? ?³. By employing Rellich‐type identities we show that the spectrum of the magnetic dipole boundary integral operator (composed with an appropriate projection) acting on L²(?Ω) lies in the exterior of a hyperbola whose shape depends only on the Lipschitz constant of Ω. These spectral theory results are then used to construct generalized Neumann series solutions for boundary value problems associated with the Maxwell system and to study their rates of convergence (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Construction of Generalized Diffusion Processes: the Resolvent Approach

In this paper, we define the generalized diffusion operator ■ for two suitable measures on the line, which includes the generators of the birth-death processes, the one-dimensional diffusion and the gap diffusion among others. Via the standard resolvent approach, the associated generalized diffusion processes are constructed.

讨论了响应变量为单参数指数族且在零点处膨胀的广义线性模型的大样本性质,对其参数进行了极大似然估计,给出了一些正则条件.基于所提出的正则条件,证明了模型参数极大似然估计的相合性与渐近正态性.     

Corrigendum to: Free Rota-Baxter systems and a Hopf algebra structure

Abstract

In this corrigendum, we give a correction that a free Rota-Baxter system is a left counital Hopf algebra but not a Hopf algebra.
