Continuity and Uniqueness of Equilibria for Linear Exchange Economies

The purpose of this paper is to study the continuity and uniqueness properties of equilibria for linear exchange economies. We characterize the sets of utility vectors and initial endowments for which the equilibrium price is unique and respectively the set for which the equilibrium allocation is unique. We show that the equilibrium allocation correspondence is continuous with respect to the initial endowments and we characterize the set of full measure where the equilibrium allocation correspondence with respect to the initial endowments and utility vectors is continuous.     

Peter Bergmann:The Education of a Physicist

I explore the early life and contributions of Peter Bergmann (1915–2002), focusing on his family background, education, and ideas. I examine how Bergmann’s formative years were shaped by the outspoken influence of his mother, a leading educational reformer; the distinguished reputation of his father, a renowned materials chemist; and his cherished hope of working with Albert Einstein (1879–1955), to whom he eventually became an assistant. Inspired by these and other notable thinkers, Bergmann became an exemplary organizer, educator, and mentor in the fields of general relativity and quantum gravity.     

Evolutions of Yang Phase Under Cyclic Condition and Adiabatic Condition

There are three non-integrable phases in literatures： Berry phase, Aharonov-Anandan phase, and Yang phase. This article discusses the evolutions of Yang phase under the cyclic condition and the adiabatic condition for the general time-dependent harmonic oscillator, thus reveals the intimate relations between these three non-integrable phases.     

On social percolation and small world network

The social percolation model is generalized to include the propagation of two mutually exclusive competing effects on a one-dimensional ring and a two-dimensional square lattice. It is shown that the result depends significantly on which effect propagates first i.e. it is a non-commutative phenomenon. Then the propagation of one effect is studied on a small network. It generalizes the work of Moore and Newman of a disease spread to the case where the susceptibility of the population is random. Three variants of the Domany-Kinzel model are given. One of them (delayed) does not have a chaotic region for some value of the delay weight. Received 24 February 2000

Some new proofs of modular relations for the Göllnitz-Gordon functions

In this paper, we find new proofs of modular relations for the Göllnitz-Gordon functions established earlier by S.-S. Huang and S.-L. Chen. We use Schröter’s formulas and some simple theta-function identities of Ramanujan to establish the relations. We also find some new modular relations of the same nature.     

Average coherence with respect to complementary measurements

We investigate the average coherence with respect to a complete set of complementary measurements.By using a Wigner-Yanase skew information-based coherence measure introduced in Luo and Sun(2017 Phys.Rev.A 96,022130),we evaluate the average coherence of a state with respect to any complete set of mutually unbiased measurements and general symmetric informationally complete measurements,respectively.We also establish analytically the relations among these average coherences.

On molecular topological properties of hex‐derived networks

Topological indices are numerical parameters of a molecular graph, which characterize its topology and are usually graph invariant. In quantitative structure–activity relationship/quantitative structure–property relationship study, physico‐chemical properties and topological indices such as Randić, atom–bond connectivity (ABC), and geometric–arithmetic (GA) index are used to predict the bioactivity of chemical compounds. Graph theory has found a considerable use in this area of research. In this paper, we study hex‐derived networks HDN1(n) and HDN2(n), which are generated by hexagonal network of dimension n and derive analytical closed results of general Randić index R_α(G) for different values of α, for these networks of dimension n. We also compute the general first Zagreb, ABC, GA, ABC₄, and GA₅ indices for these hex‐derived networks for the first time and give closed formulae of these degree‐based indices for hex‐derived networks. 横观各向同性三维热弹性力学通解及其势理论法

通过引入两个位移函数，对用位移表达的运动平衡方程作了简化．利用算子理论，严格地导出了横观各向同性非耦合热弹性动力学问题的通解．对于静力学问题，通解的形式可进一步简化成用4个准调和函数来表示．具体考察了横观各向同性体内平面裂纹上下表面有对称分布温度作用的问题，推广了势理论方法，导出了一个积分方程和一个微分-积分方程．针对币状裂纹表面受均布温度作用情形，给出了具体的解。
