In this paper we study the complete space-like λ-surfaces in the three dimensional Minkowski space R1^3.As the result,we obtain a complete classification theorem for all the complete space-like λ-surfaces x:M^2→R1^3 with the second fundamental form of constant length.This is a natural extension to the λ-surfaces in R1^3 of a recent interesting classification theorem by Cheng and Wei forλ-surfaces in the Euclidean space R^3.  相似文献

I considered if solutions of stochastic differential equations have their density or not when the coefficients are not Lipschitz continuous. However, when stochastic differential equations whose coefficients are not Lipschitz continuous, the solutions would not belong to Sobolev space in general. So, I prepared the class Vh which is larger than Sobolev space, and considered the relation between absolute continuity of random variables and the class Vh. The relation is associated to a theorem of N. Bouleau and F. Hirsch. Moreover, I got a sufficient condition for a solution of stochastic differential equation to belong to the class Vh, and showed that solutions of stochastic differential equations have their densities in a special case by using the class Vh.  相似文献

Analytical particular solutions of splines and monomials are obtained for problems of thin plate resting on Pasternak foundation under arbitrary loadings, which are governed by a fourth‐order partial differential equation (PDEs). These analytical particular solutions are valuable when the arbitrary loadings are approximated by augmented polyharmonic splines (APS) constructed by splines and monomials. In our derivations, the real coefficient operator in the governing equation is decomposed into two complex coefficient operators whose particular solutions are known in literature. Then, we use the difference trick to recover the analytical particular solutions of the original operator. In addition, we show that the derived particular solution of spline with its first few directional derivatives are bounded as r → 0. This solution procedure may have the potential in obtaining analytical particular solutions of higher order PDEs constructed by products of Helmholtz‐type operators. Furthermore, we demonstrate the usages of these analytical particular solutions by few numerical cases in which the homogeneous solutions are complementarily solved by the method of fundamental solutions (MFS). © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The structure of various Gerber-Shiu functions in Sparre Andersen models allowing for possible dependence between claim sizes and interclaim times is examined. The penalty function is assumed to depend on some or all of the surplus immediately prior to ruin, the deficit at ruin, the minimum surplus before ruin, and the surplus immediately after the second last claim before ruin. Defective joint and marginal distributions involving these quantities are derived. Many of the properties in the Sparre Andersen model without dependence are seen to hold in the present model as well. A discussion of Lundberg’s fundamental equation and the generalized adjustment coefficient is given, and the connection to a defective renewal equation is considered. The usual Sparre Andersen model without dependence is also discussed, and in particular the case with exponential claim sizes is considered.  相似文献

It is shown that the symbols for the fundamental units of mechanics, namely length, time and mass, are capable of a meaningful interpretation as positive real parameters. Then a suitable parameter domain allows one to take the derived units into account. The formal manipulations usually carried out with symbols of physical quantities, involving real coefficients and units of different kinds affected by rational exponents, are consistent with that interpretation. The note is expected to serve as a well-motivated introduction to a deeper study of dimensional analysis.  相似文献
