In this paper we propose a recursive quadratic programming algorithm for nonlinear programming problems with inequality constraints that uses as merit function a differentiable exact penalty function. The algorithm incorporates an automatic adjustment rule for the selection of the penalty parameter and makes use of an Armijo-type line search procedure that avoids the need to evaluate second order derivatives of the problem functions. We prove that the algorithm possesses global and superlinear convergence properties. Numerical results are reported.  相似文献

This paper gives a brief survey and assessment of computational methods for finding solutions to systems of nonlinear equations and systems of polynomial equations. Starting from methods which converge locally and which find one solution, we progress to methods which are globally convergent and find an a priori determinable number of solutions. We will concentrate on simplicial algorithms and homotopy methods. Enhancements of published methods are included and further developments are discussed.  相似文献

The dynamics of the Josephson tunnel junction is approximately described by a perturbed sine-Gordon equation. The Josephson tunnel junction is thus a convenient experimental solid state device for the study of solitons and solitonlike phenomena. The physical manifestation of the soliton is a propagating magnetic flux quantum ( 0=h/2e=2.064×10–15 V sec). Basic properties of the soliton and its relation to observable experimental quantities (zero field steps, microwave radiation, etc.) are reviewed. Recent direct measurements of the actual soliton profile are also mentioned.  相似文献

The quantum theory of angular momentum affords a treatment of tensors and vectors in a spherical basis. By using this theory we define the tensor differential operators: divergence, curl and gradient which act on a tensor of any rank, in terms of C-G coefficients. With these definitions we obtain a matrix representation and useful properties for those operators. An interesting application of this formalism is to find the wave equation of a tensor of any rank in a linear theory. This provides a new common way to look at the wave equations associated with both Maxwell's equations and the Maxwell-like equations for the linearized Weyl curvature tensor in gravitoelectromagnetism describing gravitational radiation on a Minkowski spacetime background.  相似文献

We use the balance relations for the stationary in time solutions of the randomly forced 2D Navier-Stokes equations, found in [10], to study these solutions further. We show that the vorticity ξ(t,x) of a stationary solution has a finite exponential moment, and that for any the expectation of the integral of over the level-set , up to a constant factor equals the expectation of the integral of over the same set.  相似文献

In this paper, two novel semiclassical methods including the standard and supersymmetric WKB quantization conditions are suggested to discuss the Schroedinger equation with position-dependent effective mass. From a proper coordinate transformation, the formalism of the Schroedinger equation with position-dependent effective mass is mapped into isospectral one with constant mass and therefore for a given mass distribution and physical potential function the bound state energy spectrum can be determined easily by above method associated with a simple integral formula. It is shown that our method can give the analytical results for some exactly-solvable quantum systems.  相似文献

The two-dimensional (2D) nonlinear Rossby waves described by the Petviashvili equation, which has been invoked as an ageostrophic extension of the barotropic quasi-geostrophic potential vorticity equation, can be investigated through the exact periodic-wave solutions for the Petviashvili equation, while the exact analytical periodic-wave solutions to the Petviashvili equation are obtained by using the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method. It is shown that periodic-wave 2D Rossby solutions can be obtained by this method, and in the limit cases, the 2D Rossby soliton solutions are also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we examine the effects of the gravitational field on the dynamical evolution of the cavity-field entropy and the creation of the Schr?dinger-cat state in the Jaynes-Cummings model. We consider a moving two-level atom interacting with a single mode quantized cavity-field in the presence of a classical homogeneous gravitational field. Based on an su(2) algebra, as the dynamical symmetry group of the model, we derive the reduced density operator of the cavity-field which includes the effects of the atomic motion and the gravitational field. Also, we obtain the exact solution and the approximate solution for the system-state vector, and examine the atomic dynamics. By considering the temporal evolution of the cavity-field entropy as well as the dynamics of the Q-function of the cavity-field we study the effects of the gravitational field on the generation of the Schr?dinger-cat states of the cavity-field by using the Q-function, field entropy and approximate solution for the system-state vector. The results show that the gravitational field destroys the generation of the Schr?dinger-cat state of the cavity-field.  相似文献
