Finite valued feedback laws and piecewise classical solutions

Often, in engineering literature, we find control systems in which the open loop inputs are piecewise constant and take values in a finite set. Such open loop inputs cause the system to have fairly regular solutions. On the other hand, when acting in closed loop, feedback laws taking values in a finite set may not be reinterpreted as open loop inputs of the considered type. In fact, pathological behaviours such as the accumulation of discontinuities may appear (Zeno phenomenon). We give some conditions which can be used as tools for building finite valued feedback laws not causing such pathological behaviours.     

On the complexity of suboptimal decoding for list and decision feedback schemes

We consider bounded distance list decoding, such that the decoder calculates the list of all codewords within a sphere around the received vector. We analyze the performance and the complexity of this suboptimum list decoding scheme for the binary symmetric channel. The reliability function of the list decoding scheme is equivalent to the sphere-packing bound, where the decoding complexity is asymptotically bounded by 2^nR(1-R). Furthermore, we investigate a decision feedback strategy that is based on bounded distance list decoding. Here, any output with zero or many codewords will call for a repeated transmission. In this case the decoding complexity will be of the order 2^nR(1-C), where C denotes the channel capacity. The reliability function is close to Forney's feedback exponent.     

Algorithms for Finite and Semi-Infinite Min–Max–Min Problems Using Adaptive Smoothing Techniques

We develop two implementable algorithms, the first for the solution of finite and the second for the solution of semi-infinite min-max-min problems. A smoothing technique (together with discretization for the semi-infinite case) is used to construct a sequence of approximating finite min-max problems, which are solved with increasing precision. The smoothing and discretization approximations are initially coarse, but are made progressively finer as the number of iterations is increased. This reduces the potential ill-conditioning due to high smoothing precision parameter values and computational cost due to high levels of discretization. The behavior of the algorithms is illustrated with three semi-infinite numerical examples.

提出了混沌系统部分变量逆序反馈控制器的定义，并以陈氏系统为例对该类控制器进行了研究，得出了部分变量正序和逆序控制器存在的条件，应用该条件扩展了有关文献的研究成果，得到了混沌系统的多种形式的反馈控制器.仿真结果显示，基于部分变量的混沌系统的控制是简单而有效的. 关键词： 部分变量反馈控制 逆序控制器 混沌系统     

Active control and a simple estimation method for the onset of Rayleigh-Bénard convection in temperature-dependent-viscosity liquids

Active feedback control for the onset of Rayleigh-Bénard Convection in temperature-dependent-viscosity liquids is investigated. In this paper, three major problems are addressed: (1) The results of Tang-Bau control are improved by considering the effects of temperature-dependent viscosity; (2) A more efficient two-plate control strategy is presented. A phenomenon of coalescence of the unstable modes is observed as the controller gain is large enough; (3) A simple way to estimate the critical Rayleigh number under the effects of temperature-dependent viscosity is described. Numerical results show that the effects of temperature-dependent viscosity on the critical Rayleigh number should be taken into account in some cases and the onset of Rayleigh-Bénard convection can be effectively delayed or advanced by the active feedback control strategies studied here.     

小阶跃反应性输入时点堆中子动力学方程的解析解

对小阶跃反应性输入（0<ρ,０<β）且有温度反馈时点堆中子动力学方程进行了研究. 导出任意初始功率条件下核反应堆功率、反应性与时间的解析表达式. 分析和讨论了初始功率与输入小阶跃反应性的大小对功率、反应性变化规律的影响，得到了一些新的结果. 关键词： 中子动力学 反应性 点堆 温度反馈     

随机参数Duffing系统中的随机混沌及其延迟反馈控制

研究了谐和激励下含有界随机参数Duffing系统(简称随机Duffing系统)中的随机混沌及其延迟反馈控制问题.借助Gegenbauer多项式逼近理论，将随机Duffing系统转化为与其等效的确定性非线性系统.这样，随机Duffing系统在谐和激励下的混沌响应及其控制问题就可借等效的确定性非线性系统来研究.分析阐明了随机混沌的主要特点，并采用Wolf算法计算等效确定性非线性系统的最大Lyapunov指数，以判别随机Duffing系统的动力学行为.数值计算表明，恰当选取不同的反馈强度和延迟时间，可分别达到抑制或诱发系统混沌的目的，说明延迟反馈技术对随机混沌控制也是十分有效的. 关键词： 随机Duffing系统 延迟反馈控制 随机混沌 Gegenbauer多项式     

关于均值KIRCHHOFF板非线性边界镇定问题的几点注记

对于均值K IRCHHOFF板非线性边界镇定问题给出几点注记.首先应用G reen公式对具有非线性边界反馈控制的均值K IRCHHOFF板所决定的非线性系统的能量衰减速度进行了重新推导,从而修正了前人的结果.然后应用极大单调函数的定义和分部积分技巧,对均值K IRCHHOFF板非线性边界镇定问题所决定的非线性算子A的极大单调性给出了重新证明,进而更正了已有文献中相应证明的欠妥之处.     

New general guidance method in constrained optimal control,part 2: Application to space shuttle guidance

The application and the performance of the neighboring optimal feedback scheme presented in Part 1 of this paper is demonstrated for the heating-constrained cross-range maximization problem of a space-shuttle-orbiter-type vehicle.
