研究了赋予一般分离型边界条件的N维向量Sturm-Liouville方程的特征值问题,获得了该系统的一个正则迹公式.迹公式不仅形式美观,而且它在反谱理论中具有重要的作用.

The object of this expository paper is to sum up several results concerning generalized Stirling number (GSN) pairs investigated earlier by the author. Also expounded in some detail are two kinds of extended GSN pairs with applications (illustrative examples).     

Fast enclosure for the minimum norm least squares solution of the matrix equation AXB = C

Fast algorithms for enclosing the minimum norm least squares solution of the matrix equation AXB = C are proposed. To develop these algorithms, theories for obtaining error bounds of numerical solutions are established. The error bounds obtained by these algorithms are verified in the sense that all the possible rounding errors have been taken into account. Techniques for accelerating the enclosure and obtaining smaller error bounds are introduced. Numerical results show the properties of the proposed algorithms. Accelerated Landweber iteration with convex penalty for linear inverse problems in Banach spaces

In recent years, Landweber iteration has been extended to solve linear inverse problems in Banach spaces by incorporating non-smooth convex penalty functionals to capture features of solutions. This method is known to be slowly convergent. However, because it is simple to implement, it still receives a lot of attention. By making use of the subspace optimization technique, we propose an accelerated version of Landweber iteration with non-smooth convex penalty which significantly speeds up the method. Numerical simulations are given to test the efficiency.     

Hitting probabilities and the Hausdorff dimension of the inverse images of a class of anisotropic random fields

Let X = {X(t):t ∈ R~N} be an anisotropic random field with values in R~d.Under certain conditions on X,we establish upper and lower bounds on the hitting probabilities of X in terms of respectively Hausdorff measure and Bessel-Riesz capacity.We also obtain the Hausdorff dimension of its inverse image,and the Hausdorff and packing dimensions of its level sets.These results are applicable to non-linear solutions of stochastic heat equations driven by a white in time and spatially homogeneous Gaussian noise and anisotropic Guassian random fields.     

An inverse coefficient problem for a quasilinear parabolic equation with periodic boundary and integral overdetermination condition

In this paper, the inverse problem of finding the time‐dependent coefficient of heat capacity together with the solution periodic boundary and integral overdetermination conditions is considered. Under some natural regularity and consistency conditions on the input data, the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence upon the data of the solution are shown. Some considerations on the numerical solution for this inverse problem are presented with an example. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

A simultaneous approach to inverse source problem by Green's function

In this paper, we consider an inverse source problem of identification of F(t) function in the linear parabolic equation u_t = u_xx + F(t) and u₀(x) function as the initial condition from the measured final data and local boundary data. Based on the optimal control framework by Green's function, we construct Fréchet derivative of Tikhonov functional. The stability of the minimizer is established from the necessary condition. The CG algorithm based on the Fréchet derivative is applied to the inverse problem, and results are presented for a test example. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

On the inverse spectral theory in a non-homogeneous interior transmission problem

We study the inverse spectral problem in an interior transmission eigenvalue problem. The Cartwright’s theory in value distribution theory gives a connection between the distributional structure of the eigenvalues and the asymptotic behaviours of its defining functional determinants. Given a sufficient quantity of transmission eigenvalues, we prove a uniqueness of the refraction index in inhomogeneous medium as an uniqueness problem in entire function theory. The asymptotically periodical structure of the zero set of the solutions helps to locate infinitely many eigenvalues of infinite degree of freedom.
