A family of classification algorithms generated from Tikhonov regularization schemes are considered. They involve multi-kernel spaces and general convex loss functions. Our main purpose is to provide satisfactory estimates for the excess misclassification error of these multi-kernel regularized classifiers when the loss functions achieve the zero value. The error analysis consists of two parts: regularization error and sample error. Allowing multi-kernels in the algorithm improves the regularization error and approximation error, which is one advantage of the multi-kernel setting. For a general loss function, we show how to bound the regularization error by the approximation in some weighted Lq spaces. For the sample error, we use a projection operator. The projection in connection with the decay of the regularization error enables us to improve convergence rates in the literature even for the one-kernel schemes and special loss functions: least-square loss and hinge loss for support vector machine soft margin classifiers. Existence of the optimization problem for the regularization scheme associated with multi-kernels is verified when the kernel functions are continuous with respect to the index set. Concrete examples, including Gaussian kernels with flexible variances and probability distributions with some noise conditions, are used to illustrate the general theory. 相似文献

In this paper some new parallel difference schemes with interface extrapolation terms for a quasi-linear parabolic system of equations are constructed. Two types of time extrapolations are proposed to give the interface values on the interface of sub-domains or the values adjacent to the interface points, so that the unconditional stable parallel schemes with the second accuracy are formed. Without assuming heuristically that the original boundary value problem has the unique smooth vector solution, the existence and uniqueness of the discrete vector solutions of the parallel difference schemes constructed are proved. Moreover the unconditional stability of the parallel difference schemes is justified in the sense of the continuous dependence of the discrete vector solution of the schemes on the discrete known data of the original problems in the discrete W2(2,1) (Q△) norms. Finally the convergence of the discrete vector solutions of the parallel difference schemes with interface extrapolation terms to the unique generalized solution of the original quasi-linear parabolic problem is proved. In this paper, we propose an effective spectral method based on dimension reduction scheme for fourth order problems in polar geometric domains. First, the original problem is decomposed into a series of one‐dimensional fourth order problems by polar coordinate transformation and the orthogonal properties of Fourier basis function. Then the weak form and the corresponding discrete scheme of each one‐dimensional fourth order problem are derived by introducing polar conditions and appropriate weighted Sobolev spaces. In addition, we define the projection operators in the weighted Sobolev space and give its approximation properties, and further prove the error estimation of each one‐dimensional fourth order problem. Finally, we provide some numerical examples, and the numerical results show the effectiveness of our algorithm and the correctness of the theoretical results. 相似文献

A class of new benchmark deformational flow test cases for the two-dimensional horizontal linear transport problems on the sphere is proposed. The scalar field follows complex trajectories and undergoes severe deformation during the simulation; however, the flow reverses its course at half-time and the scalar field returns to its initial position and shape. This process makes the exact solution available at the end of the simulation, and facilitates assessment of the accuracy of the underlying transport scheme. We report a new unconditionally stable implicit alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme of O(k2 + h2) for the difference solution of linear hyperbolic equation utt + 2αut + β2u = uxx + uyy + f(x, y, t), αβ ≥ 0, 0 < x, y < 1, t > 0 subject to appropriate initial and Dirichlet boundary conditions, where α > 0 and β ≥ 0 are real numbers.
