Repleteness and regular lattice measures

Let X be an abstract set and L a lattice of subsets of X. To each lattice regular measure µ, we associate two induced measures and on suitable lattices of the Wallman space IR(L) and another measure µ on the spaceIR(L). We will investigate the reflection of smoothness properties of p onto , and µ; and try to set some new criterion for repleteness and measure repleteness.

Essential Conditions for the Full Synergy of Probability of Occurrence Distributions

In this contribution, we specify the conditions for assuring the validity of the synergy of the distribution of probabilities of occurrence. We also study the subsequent restriction on the maximal extension of the strict concavity region on the parameter space of Sharma–Mittal entropy measures, which has been derived in a previous paper in this journal. The present paper is then a necessary complement to that publication. Some applications of the techniques introduced here are applied to protein domain families (Pfam databases, versions 27.0 and 35.0). The results will show evidence of their usefulness for testing the classification work performed with methods of alignment that are used by expert biologists.     

A variational problem determined by probability measures

ABSTRACT

An optimization problem of maximizing an integral of a function over a family of probability measures is considered. The problem is a generalization of a well-studied variational problem in mathematical economics, concerning optimal allocations. The specific generalization that we examine arises also in the limit of singularly perturbed optimal control problems. We examine the mathematical problem and allude to the singular perturbation motivation.

论文介绍6片不同高宽比的水泥聚苯模壳格构式混凝土墙体在轴压力和水平往复侧推力作用下的试验,分析这种墙体的抗侧强度、刚度和延性等力学性能.试验表明,高宽比大于1的墙体破坏时表现为墙体跟部的单一水平裂缝,其他部位完好;高宽比3∶4的墙体破坏时存在多条通过格构梁柱的斜向裂缝,墙体裂缝分布密集,变形能力好.     

Non-anticipative representations of Banach space valued gaussian processes with respect to brownian motion

Necessary and sufficient conditions are found for the equivalence of the measures associated with (i) a Banach space valued Gaussian process, with mean 0, and (ii) a Bach space valued Brownian motion. The notion of a non-anticipative representation of (i) with respect to (ii) is defined and in the case of equivalence of the measures it is shown that such a representation exists and has an explicit stochastic integral form which is invertible. Theorems of Ershov on absolute continuity of measures associated with diffusion processes are extended to Banach space. Applications to infinite-dimensional filtering are considered.     

A Model for Spacetime: The Role of Interpretation in Some Grothendieck Topoi

We analyse the proposition that the spacetime structure is modified at short distances or at high energies due to weakening of classical logic. The logic assigned to the regions of spacetime is intuitionistic logic of some topoi. Several cases of special topoi are considered. The quantum mechanical effects can be generated by such semi-classical spacetimes. The issues of: background independence and general relativity covariance, field theoretic renormalization of divergent expressions, the existence and definition of path integral measures, are briefly discussed in the proposal. The connection with some problems in foundations of mathematics and differential topology are also discussed.     

Multiparametric Evaluation of Dysphonic Severity

SUMMARY: In recent years, the multiparametric approach for evaluating perceptual rating of voice quality has been advocated. This study evaluates the accuracy of predicting perceived overall severity of voice quality with a minimal set of aerodynamic, voice range profile (phonetogram), and acoustic perturbation measures. One hundred and twelve dysphonic persons (93 women and 19 men) with laryngeal pathologies and 41 normal controls (35 women and six men) with normal voices participated in this study. Perceptual severity judgement was carried out by four listeners rating the G (overall grade) parameter of the GRBAS scale. The minimal set of instrumental measures was selected based on the ability of the measure to discriminate between dysphonic and normal voices, and to attain at least a moderate correlation with perceived overall severity. Results indicated that perceived overall severity was best described by maximum phonation time of sustained /a/, peak intraoral pressure of the consonant-vowel /pi/ strings production, voice range profile area, and acoustic jitter. Direct-entry discriminant function analysis revealed that these four voice measures in combination correctly predicted 67.3% of perceived overall severity levels.
