Polynomial identities of bicommutative algebras,Lie and Jordan elements

ABSTRACT

An algebra with identities a(bc)?=?b(ac), (ab)c?=?(ac)b is called bicommutative. We construct list of identities satisfied by commutator and anti-commutator products in a free bicommutative algebra. We give criterions for elements of a free bicommutative algebra to be Lie or Jordan.     

Abelianization and orthogonal complements of additive categories

An abelian completion of an additive regular category is constructed and in­vestigated. It is applied to give an axiomatic characterization of the categories which appear as categories of torsion free objects in abelian categories with pre-radicals, radicals, hereditary radicals.     

Theories of rings with divisibility

We consider several different theories of commutative rings with a new predicate symbol | together with the additional axiom a|b ? ?c (a . c = b) and show that none of these has a model companion.     

A note on the commutativity of groups

In this article, we show that a group is abelian if and only if every two elements of the same order commute.     

Symmetric Powers of Nat 𝔰𝔩2(𝕂)

We identify the spaces of homogeneous polynomials in two variables 𝕂[Y^k, XY^k?1, ?, X^k] among representations of the Lie ring 𝔰𝔩₂(𝕂). This amounts to constructing a compatible 𝕂-linear structure on some abstract 𝔰𝔩₂(𝕂)-modules, where 𝔰𝔩₂(𝕂) is viewed as a Lie ring.     

Valuation ideals of order one in 2-dimensional regular local rings

Let υ be a prime divisor of a 2-dimensional regular local ring (R m) with algebraically closed residue field k. Zariski showed that a prime divisor υ of R is uniquely associated to a simple m-primary integrally closed ideal I of R, there exist finitely many simple υ-ideals including I, and all the other υ-ideals can be uniquely factored into products of simple υ-ideals. It is known that such an m-primary ideal I of R can be minimally generated by o(I) + 1 elements.Given a simple integrally closed ideal I of order one with arbitrary rank and its associated prime divisor υ, we find minimal generating sets of all the simple υ-ideals and describe factorizations of all the composite υ-ideals in terms of power products of simple υideals as explicitly as possible.     

On the Derived Series of Coxeter Groups

Let G be a group and let φ(G) be the least integer k such that G^(k) = G^(k+1). If no such k exists, then φ(G) = ∞ and we write G ∈ 𝒰. We are interested in the questions which Coxeter groups are in 𝒰 and how large can finite φ(G) be for Coxeter groups. The second author answered these questions for 3-generator and 4-generator Coxeter groups. This article begins the study for the 5-generator case.
