Mag. 87 (2007) p.5309] in the application of the Jordan–Wigner transformation does not affect the validity of the putative exact solution, since the solution is not derived directly from that equation. Other objections of Perk's comment [J.H.H. Perk, Phil. Mag. 89 (2009) p.761] are the same as those in Wu et al.'s comments [F.Y. Wu et al., Phil. Mag. 88 (2008) p.3093; p.3103], which do not stand on solid ground and which I have sought to refute in my previous response [Z.D. Zhang, Phil. Mag. 88 (2008) p.3097]. The quantum Rabi-Stark model, where the linear dipole coupling and the nonlinear Stark-like coupling is present on an equal footing, is studied within the tunable extended coherent states. The eigenvalues and eigenstates are therefore obtained exactly. Surprisingly, the entanglement entropy in the ground-state is found to jump suddenly with the coupling strength. The first-order quantum phase transition can be detected by level crossing of the ground state and the first excited state, which is however lacking in the original linear quantum Rabi model. Performing the first-order approximation in the present theory, we can derive closed-form analytical results for the ground-state. Interestingly, it agrees well with the exact solutions up to the ultra-strong coupling regime in a wide range of model parameters. The spectral collapses when the absolute value of the nonlinear coupling strength approaches to twice the cavity frequency is observed with the help of new solutions in the limits. 相似文献

An exact solution of a single impurity model is hard to derive since it breaks translation invariance symmetry. We present the exact solution of the spin-1/2 transverse Ising chain imbedded by a spin-1 impurity. Using the hole decomposition scheme, we exactly solve the spin-1 impurity in two subspaces which are generated by a conserved hole operator.The impurity enlarges the energy deformation of the ground state above a pure transverse Ising system without impurity.The specific heat coefficient shows a small anomaly at low temperature for finite size. This indicates that the impurity can tune the ground state from a magnetic impurity space to a non-magnetic impurity space, which only exists for spin-1impurity comparing with spin-1/2 impurity and a pure transverse Ising chain without impurity. These behaviors essentially come from adding impurity freedom, which induces a competition between hole and fermion excitation depending on the coupling strength with its neighbor and the single-ion anisotropy. 相似文献

We consider the two-dimensional one-component plasma without a background and confined to a half-plane near a metal wall. The particles are also subjected to an external potential acting perpendicular to the wall with an inverse-power-law Boltzmann factor. The model has a known solvable isotherm which exhibits a Kosterlitz-Thouless-type transition from a conductive to an insulator phase as the power law is varied. This allows predictions of theoretical methods of analyzing the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition to be compared with the exact solution. In particular, we calculate the asymptotic density profile by resumming its low-fugacity expansion near the zero-density critical coupling in the insulator phase, and solving a mean-field equation deduced from the first BGY equation. Agreement with the exact solution is obtained. As the former calculation makes essential use of the nested dipole hypothesis of Kosterlitz and Thouless, the validity of this hypothesis is explicitly verified. 相似文献
