Tutorial on estimating the limit of detection using LC-MS analysis,part II: Practical aspects

In part II of this tutorial, the investigated approaches of estimating the limit of detection (LOD) are applied to experimental data from LC-MS measurements. Important practical aspects specific to LC-MS and related to LOD are reviewed. The results of different tests of estimating linearity and scedasticity are compared. LOD estimates obtained with different approaches (for both simple characterization of the analysis method and accurate interpretation of the results) are applied to the data and the obtained values are compared. As a conclusion, a decision tree is proposed for estimating LOD for analytical methods using the LC-MS technique.

EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROPELLENT CROSS-FEED TECHNOLOGY FOR LAUNCH VEHICLE

本文结合弹道优化,提出了估算和优化二级半构型运载火箭在不同发射模式和发射弹道下的近地轨道(low Earth orbit, LEO)最大运载能力的简单方法,并以长征七号为例进行了数值计算, 分析了使用推进剂交叉输送技术发射时的具体收效和最优弹道特点。数值计算表明：长征七号使用交叉输送技术发射时LEO最大运载能力能够比传统发射模式提高3 t(约20%), 同时降低发射过程中的最大轴向加速度近50%。该类型运载火箭采用推进剂交叉输送技术可以大幅提高运载能力。     

A secure transmission scheme on link level for optical fiber communication systems

In secure communication systems, a very important problem is how to prevent wiretapping. Lots of researches on cryptography give good solutions on secure communications. But if a wire tapper can detect the existence of the transmitted information and get enough eavesdropped frames, cryptanalysis techniques can help to blindly recover the frame structures, error-control coding parameters and passwords. In this paper we propose a novel secure transmission scheme on the link level for optical fiber communication systems. Based on the blind frame synchronization technique, we propose to drop the traditionally strict frame structures in fiber communications and conceal the error-correcting-encoded blocks among random data, so that wire tappers cannot get enough coded packets to analyze and recover the transmitted information. Therefore, the proposed method is very suitable for secure communications and military communications.     

Na decorated B6 cluster and its hydrogen storage properties

The structures and hydrogen storage properties of sodium atoms decorated B6 clusters are investigated by the B3LYP method with a 6-311＋G （d, p） basis set. For NamB6 （m = 1-3） clusters, Na atoms are always inclined to separate far enough from each other and not cluster together on a B6 cluster surface so that each Na atom has sufficient space to bind hydrogen molecules. The hydrogen storage gravimetric density of a two Na atoms decorated B6 cluster is 17.91 wt% with an adsorption energy per H2 molecule （AAE/H2） of 0.6851 kcal.mo1^-1. The appropriate AAE/H2 and preferable gravimetric density of the two Na atoms decorated B6 cluster complex indicate that it is feasible for hydrogen storage application in ambient conditions.     

Modeling the angular capability of the ball joints in a complex mechanism with two degrees of mobility

The paper puts forward a complex linkage mechanism with two degrees of mobility and three kinematic loops, which is used for the guiding (suspension and steering) system of the vehicles. The geometric parameters and the coordinates frames that define the mechanical system are presented, as well as the specific kinematic functions. For this complex mechanical system, the angular capability of the ball (spherical) joints is defined by two angles. The equations for these angles have been determined by matrix algebra tools, considering the transformation matrices between the bodies reference frames. The diagrams of the angular capability of the ball joints, which are represented in angular coordinates, describe the form, orientation and size of the sockets from the spherical casings. Wears, shocks, functional locks or the compromising of the joint strength can occur if scarce sockets are implemented. The risk points, in which the angular parameters have maximum values, have been determined, the simulation being performed for a real system (vehicle).
