A tensor norm preserving unconditionality for -spaces

We show that, for each , there is an -tensor norm (in the sense of Grothendieck) with the surprising property that the -tensor product has local unconditional structure for each choice of arbitrary -spaces . In fact, is the tensor norm associated to the ideal of multiple -summing -linear forms on Banach spaces.

     

Evolution of hypersurfaces by the mean curvature minus an external force field

In this paper, we study the evolution of hypersurface moving by the mean curvature minus an external force field. It is shown that the flow will blow up in a finite time if the mean curvature of the initial surface is larger than some constant depending on the boundness of derivatives of the external force field. For a linear force, we prove that the convexity of the hypersurface is preserved during the evolution and the flow has a unique smooth solution in any finite time and expands to infinity as the time tends to infinity if the initial curvature is smaller than the slope of the force.     

Topological aspect of Chern--Simons p-branes

By generalizing the topological current of Abelian Chern--Simons (CS) vortices, we present a topological tensor current of CS p-branes based on the \phi -mapping topological current theory. It is revealed that CS p-branes are located at the isolated zeros of the vector field \phi(x), and the topological structure of CS p-branes is characterized by the winding number of the \phi-mappings. Furthermore, the Nambu--Goto action and the equation of motion for multi CS p-branes are obtained.     

有限温度张量重正化群方法及其在阻挫量子磁性研究中的应用

阻挫量子磁体中的新奇物态与效应是凝聚态物理研究的重要前沿方向,因其与高温超导、拓扑量子计算等的密切联系,近年来吸引了人们浓厚的研究兴趣。实验上,阻挫自旋液体候选材料的 新进展层出不穷,人们系统地研究了若干三角晶格、笼目晶格和六角Kitaev 阻挫磁体等材料,发 现其在一定条件下展现出自旋液体态的特征,但澄清其中的量子物态是充满挑战的量子多体问题。 作者最近的工作指出,可以从有限温度张量重正化群多体计算入手,开展热力学性质的精确计算 与分析,确定阻挫磁体的微观自旋模型,做出进一步理论预言并开展实验验证,从而建立量子磁性 系统的多体计算精确研究方案。有限温度张量重正化群方法是计算大尺寸二维阻挫量子自旋模型 有限温度性质的有力工具,在本文中作者首先介绍新近发展的系列张量重正化群方法,包括线性 和指数张量重正化群等。随后,作者讨论有限温度张量方法在三角晶格量子伊辛磁体TmMgGaO4 和六角晶格Kitaev 磁体α-RuCl3 的微观自旋模型中的具体应用：通过高精度和全面的多体计算, 揭示出其中存在演生U(1) 对称性与拓扑相变,以及高场量子自旋液体态等新颖的结论,这些理 论预言也陆续被实验所证实。通过上述实例,作者展示了有限温度张量重正化群计算方法在自旋 液体候选材料研究中的应用价值,并期待这些方法能在强关联量子物质研究中发挥重要作用。     

On warped product manifolds satisfying some curvature conditions

We determine curvature properties of pseudosymmetric type of certain warped product manifolds, and in particular of generalized Robertson–Walker spacetimes, with Einsteinian or quasi-Einsteinian fibre.     

Causal structure and algebraic classification of non-dissipative linear optical media

In crystal optics and quantum electrodynamics in gravitational vacua, the propagation of light is not described by a metric, but an area metric geometry. In this article, this prompts us to study conditions for linear electrodynamics on area metric manifolds to be well-posed. This includes an identification of the timelike future cones and their duals associated to an area metric geometry, and thus paves the ground for a discussion of the related local and global causal structures in standard fashion. In order to provide simple algebraic criteria for an area metric manifold to present a consistent spacetime structure, we develop a complete algebraic classification of area metric tensors up to general transformations of frame. This classification, valuable in its own right, is then employed to prove a theorem excluding the majority of algebraic classes of area metrics as viable spacetimes. Physically, these results classify and drastically restrict the viable constitutive tensors of non-dissipative linear optical media.

On the Action of the Dual Group on the Cohomology of Perverse Sheaves on the Affine Grassmannian

It was proved by Ginzburg, Mirkovic and Vilonen that the G(O)-equivariant perverse sheaves on the affine Grassmannian of a connected reductive group G form a tensor category equivalent to the tensor category of finite dimensional representations of the dual group G . In this paper we construct explicitly the action of G on the global cohomology of a perverse sheaf.     

Projectively Equivariant Symbol Calculus

The spaces of linear differential operators acting on -densities on and the space of functions on which are polynomial on the fibers are not isomorphic as modules over the Lie algebra Vect (ⁿ) of vector fields of ⁿ. However, these modules are isomorphic as sl(n + 1,)-modules where is the Lie algebra of infinitesimal projective transformations. In addition, such an -equivariant bijection is unique (up to normalization). This leads to a notion of projectively equivariant quantization and symbol calculus for a manifold endowed with a (flat) projective structure. We apply the -equivariant symbol map to study the of kth-order linear differential operators acting on -densities, for an arbitrary manifold M and classify the quotient-modules .
