如果半群S的每一个理想都是它的幂等同态像,称半群S具有理想收缩性质。GV-半群是完全正则半群在π-正则半群范围内的推广。本文刻画了某些具有理想收缩性质的GV-半群。     

Split quasi-adequate semigroups

The so-called split IC quasi-adequate semigroups are in the class of idempotent-connected quasi-adequate semigroups. It is proved that an IC quasi-adequate semigroup is split if and only if it has an adequate transversal. The structure of such semigroup whose band of idempotents is regular will be particularly investigated. Our obtained results enrich those results given by McAlister and Blyth on split orthodox semigroups.

Geometric classification of monogenic subspaces and uniparametric linear control systems

We present a geometric approach to the classification of monogenic invariant subspaces, alternative to the classical algebraic one, which allows us to obtain several matricial canonical forms for each class. Some applications are derived: canonical coordinates of a vector with regard to an endomorphism, and a canonical form for uniparametric linear control systems, not necessarily controllable, with regard to linear changes of state variables. Moreover, the pointwise construction can be extended to differentiable families of changes of basis when differentiable families of equivalent monogenic subspaces are considered.     

Sharp regularity theory for thermo-elastic mixed problems 1

We give a sharp (optimal) regularity theory of thermo-elastic mixed problems. Our approach is by P.D.E. methods and applies to any space dimension and, in principle, to any set of boundary conditions. We consider two sets of boundary conditions: hinged and clamped B.C. The original coupled P.D.E. system is split into two suitable uncoupled P.D.E. equations: a Kirchoff mixed problem and a heat equation, whose delicate, optimal regularity is available in the literature. Ultimately, the original problem with boundary non-homogeneous term is reduced to the same problem, however, with homogeneou B.C. and a known ‘right-hand term’ in the equation, which is easier to analyze.     

Controllability Results for Fractional Functional Differential Equations with Nondense Domain

This article is concerned with the controllability results for integral solution of nondensely defined fractional semilinear functional differential equations. Our approach is based on integrated semigroup theory and the Schauder fixed point theorem. An example is also given to illustrate our results.     

On a Class of Subdirect Products of Left and Right Clifford Semigroups

Abstract

Regular semigroups S with the property eS ? Se or Se ? eS for all idempotents e ∈ S include all left and right Clifford semigroups. Characterizations of such semigroups are given and their structure investigated, in particular in terms of spined products of left and right Clifford semigroups with respect to Clifford semigroups.
