In this paper, we prove Krasnoselskii and Mann's type convergence theorems for nonexpansive semigroups without using Bochner integral and without assuming the strict convexity of Banach spaces. Let be a locally compact group, and let denote the space of weakly almost periodic functions on . We show that, if is a -group, but not compact, then the dual Banach algebra does not have a normal, virtual diagonal. Consequently, whenever is an amenable, non-compact -group, is an example of a Connes-amenable, dual Banach algebra without a normal, virtual diagonal. On the other hand, there are amenable, non-compact, locally compact groups such that does have a normal, virtual diagonal.

This paper deals with a stochastic system which models the population dynamics of a chemostat including species death rate. On the basis of the theory on Markov semigroup, we demonstrate that the probability densities of the distributions for the solutions are absolutely continuous. The densities will convergence in L1 to an invariant density or weakly convergence to a singular measure under appropriate conditions. We also give the sufficient criteria for extinction exponentially of the species. To be specific, when D1>D and the strength of perturbation is relatively small, we derive a precise threshold for the species survival.  相似文献

We prove the existence and uniqueness of probabilistically strong solutions to stochastic porous media equations driven by time-dependent multiplicative noise on a general measure space (E,?(E),μ), and the Laplacian replaced by a negative definite self-adjoint operator L. In the case of Lipschitz nonlinearities Ψ, we in particular generalize previous results for open E?Rd and L=Laplacian to fractional Laplacians. We also generalize known results on general measure spaces, where we succeeded in dropping the transience assumption on L, in extending the set of allowed initial data and in avoiding the restriction to superlinear behavior of Ψ at infinity for L2(μ)-initial data.  相似文献

This work is to propose an iterative method of choice to compute a stable subspace of a regular matrix pencil. This approach is to define a sequence of matrix pencils via particular left null spaces. We show that this iteration preserves a semigroup property depending only on the initial matrix pencil. Via this recursion relationship, we propose an accelerated iterative method to compute the stable subspace and use it to provide a theoretical result to solve the principal square root of a given matrix, both nonsingular and singular. We show that this method can not only find out the matrix square root, but also construct an iterative approach which converges to the square root with any desired order.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence and blowup of solutions for a neutral partial functional integro-differential equation with state-dependent delay in Banach space. The mild solutions are obtained by Sadovskii fixed point theorem under compactness condition for the resolvent operator, the theory of fractional power and α-norm are also used in the discussion since the nonlinear terms of the system involve spacial derivatives. The strong solutions are obtained under the lipschitz condition. In addition, based on the local existence result and a piecewise extended method, we achieve a blowup alternative result as well for the considered equation. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the application of the obtained results.  相似文献
