The quantum stochastic equation is unitarily equivalent to a symmetric boundary value problem for the Schrödinger equation

We prove that the solution of the Hudson-Parthasarathy quantum stochastic differential equation in the Fock space coincides with the solution of a symmetric boundary value problem for the Schrödinger equation in the interaction representation generated by the energy operator of the environment. The boundary conditions describe the jumps in the phase and the amplitude of the Fourier transforms of the Fock vector components as any of its arguments changes the sign. The corresponding Markov evolution equation (the Lindblad equation or the “master equation”) is derived from the boundary value problem for the Schrödinger equation.

A novel dual approach to nonlinear semigroups of Lipschitz operators

Lipschitzian semigroup refers to a one-parameter semigroup of Lipschitz operators that is strongly continuous in the parameter. It contains -semigroup, nonlinear semigroup of contractions and uniformly -Lipschitzian semigroup as special cases. In this paper, through developing a series of Lipschitz dual notions, we establish an analysis approach to Lipschitzian semigroup. It is mainly proved that a (nonlinear) Lipschitzian semigroup can be isometrically embedded into a certain -semigroup. As application results, two representation formulas of Lipschitzian semigroup are established, and many asymptotic properties of -semigroup are generalized to Lipschitzian semigroup.

     

The modulus semigroup for linear delay equations III

In this paper, we describe the modulus semigroup of the C₀-semigroup associated with the linear differential equation with delay

in the Banach lattice X×L_p(-h,0;X), where X is a Banach lattice with order continuous norm. The progress with respect to previous papers is that A may be an unbounded generator of a C₀-semigroup possessing a modulus semigroup.     

The asymptotic behavior of the solutions of the Cauchy problem generated by -accretive operators

The purpose of this paper is to study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of certain type of differential inclusions posed in Banach spaces. In particular, we obtain the abstract result on the asymptotic behavior of the solution of the boundary value problem

Integral Formulas for the Minimal Representation of O(p,2)

The minimal representation of O(p,q) (p+q: even) is realized on the Hilbert space of square integrable functions on the conical subvariety of R^p+q–2. This model presents a close resemblance of the Schrödinger model of the Segal–Shale–Weil representation of the metaplectic group. We shall give explicit integral formulas for the inversion together with the analytic continuation to a certain semigroup of O(p+2,C) of the minimal representation of O(p,2) by using Bessel functions.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000) primary 22E30; secondary 22E46, 20M20, 43A80.     

On finiteness conditions for Rees matrix semigroups

Let T=[S; I; J; P] be a Rees matrix semigroup where S is a semigroup, I and J are index sets, and P is a J × I matrix with entries from S, and let U be the ideal generated by all the entries of P. If U has finite index in S, then we prove that T is periodic (locally finite) if and only if S is periodic (locally finite). Moreover, residual finiteness and having solvable word problem are investigated.     

Fréchet differentiability of the solutions of a semilinear abstract Cauchy problem

Sufficient conditions are found under which the solutions z(t;q) of a semilinear abstract Cauchy problem of the form are Fréchet differentiable with respect to the parameter q. An explicit form is provided for the sensitivity equation satisfied by the Fréchet derivative Dqz(t;q).
