The Riemann–Hilbert Problem in Weighted Classes of Cauchy Type Integrals with Density from L P( · )(Γ)

We consider the Riemann–Hilbert problem in the following setting: find a function whose boundary values ϕ⁺(t) satisfy the condition a.e. on Γ. Here D is a simply connected domain bounded by a simple closed curve Γ, and K ^{p( · )}(D;ω) is the set of functions ϕ(z) representable in the form , where ω(z) is a weight function and (K _Γφ )(z) is a Cauchy type integral whose density φ is integrable with a variable exponent p(t). It is assumed that Γ is a piecewise-Lyapunov curve without zero angles, ω(z) is an arbitrary power function and p(t) satisfies the Log-H?lder condition. The solvability conditions are established and solutions are constructed. These solutions largely depend on the coefficients a, b, c, the weight ω, on the values of p(t) at the angular points of Γ and on the values of angles at these points. Submitted: May 13, 2007. Game of two cars: Case of variable speed

A stochastic version of Isaacs's (Ref. 1) game of two cars is dealt with here. In this version, the pursuer, owing to thrust and drag forces, has a variable speed, whereas the evader's speed is constant. Also, the pursuer can maneuver as long as his speed is bounded by some lower and upper limits. The probability of interception, corresponding to optimal (saddle-point) feedback strategies, is computed and serves as a reference for evaluating the performance of four different versions of the proportional navigation pursuit law as well as two other strategies.

Numerical Methods for the Maxnear Criterion of Multiple-Sets Canonical Analysis

This paper deals with numerical methods for the Maxnear criterion of multiple-sets canonical analysis. Optimality conditions are derived. Upper and lower bounds of the optimal objective function value are presented. Two iterative methods are proposed. One is an alternating variable method, and the other called Gauss-Seidel method is an inexact version of the alternating variable method. Convergence of these methods are analyzed. A starting point strategy is suggested for both methods. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of these methods and the starting point strategy.

在模糊优化决策问题中,约束条件包含模糊线性不等式组.如何把它们转化为确定性的等价形式,这在模糊控制和模糊决策中起着重要的作用.可信性测度是模糊数学实现公理化体系的一个基础.本文在可信性测度的基础上,探讨了模糊约束在一定的满意度水平之下转化为确定性的等价式,同时就三角形模糊变量给出了模糊线性不等式组的确定性等价的具体表达式.     

一维六方准晶中带三条不对称裂纹的圆形孔口问题的解析解

利用复变函数方法,通过构造保角映射,研究了一维六方准晶中带不对称三裂纹的圆形孔口的反平面剪切问题,给出了Ⅲ型裂纹问题的应力强度因子,在极限情形下,不仅可以还原为已有的结果,而且求得一维六方准晶中L裂纹问题在裂纹尖端的应力强度因子.     

变系数Burgers方程的一种预处理谱方法

本文用预处理Legendre-Galerkin-Chebyshev配置方法来求解二阶变系数Burgers方程,该方法首先对方程进行预处理,然后在空间方向应用Legendre-Galerkin-Chebyshev配置方法,对时间方向采用leap-frog/Crank-Nicolson格式进行离散,这样可使得变系数项和非线性项能够显式计算.我们对该方法进行了误差估计,并通过数值算例验证了算法的有效性和理论分析的正确性.
