A model of two oscillating pendula placed on a mobile support is studied. Once an overall scheme of equations, under general assumptions, is formulated via the Lagrangian equations of motion, the specific case of absence of escapement is examined. The mechanical model consists of two coupled pendula both oscillating on a moving board attached to a spring. The final result performs selection among the peculiar parameters of the physical process (the length, the ratio of masses, the friction and damping coefficients, and the stiffness of the spring), providing a tendency to synchronization. 相似文献

A numerical method, the so-called multiple monopole (MMoP) method, based on the generalized multipole technique (GMT) is proposed to calculate the band structures of in-plane waves in two-dimensional phononic crystals, which are composed of arbitrarily shaped cylinders embedded in a solid host medium. To find the eigenvalues (eigenfrequencies) of the problem, besides the sources used to expand the wave fields, an extra monopole source is introduced which acts as the external excitation. By varying the excitation frequency, the eigenvalues can be localized as the extreme points of an appropriately chosen function. By sweeping the frequency range of interest and the boundary of the irreducible first Brillouin zone (FBZ), the band structures can be obtained. Some typical numerical examples with different acoustic impedance ratios and with inclusions of various shapes are presented to validate the proposed method. 相似文献

The temporal evolution of the degree of entanglement between two atoms in a system of the binomial optical field interacting with two arbitrary entangled atoms is investigated. The influence of the strength of the dipole–dipole interaction between two atoms, probabilities of the Bernoulli trial, and particle number of the binomial optical field on the temporal evolution of the atomic entanglement are discussed. The result shows that the two atoms are always in the entanglement state. Moreover, if and only if the two atoms are initially in the maximally entangled state, the entanglement evolution is not affected by the parameters, and the degree of entanglement is always kept as 1. 相似文献

For a compact Riemannian manifold M immersed into a higher dimensional manifold which can be chosen to be a Euclidean space, a unit sphere, or even a projective space, we successfully give several upper bounds in terms of the norm of the mean curvature vector of M for the first non-zero eigenvalue of the p-Laplacian (1<p<+∞) on M. Using a dynamical Langevin equation coupled with a statistical decay model, we calculate the excess of the pre-scission neutron multiplicities over its standard statistical-model values as a function of the nuclear dissipation strength for the three nuclei 19~Os, 2~~Hg, and 21~po which have the same neutron-to-proton ratio N/Z. We find that by decreasing the size of the fissioning nuclei, the effects of nuclear dissipation on the excess of the pre-scission neutron multiplicity are substantially amplified, and that the sensitivity of this excess to the nuclear friction strength is considerably increased as well. We suggest that for those fissioning systems with the same N/Z that are populated in fusion reactions, to obtain a more accurate information of the nuclear dissipation strength by measuring the pre-scission neutron multiplicity, it is best to choose a system with a small size. 相似文献

Using a Langevin model, we calculate post-saddle proton and α-particle multiplicities as a function of the post-saddle dissipation strength (β) for the heavy systems 234Cf, 240Cf, 246Cf and 240U. We find that, with increasing isospin of the system, the sensitivity of post-saddle light charged-particle multiplicities to β decreases considerably and, moreover, for 240U the charged-particle multiplicities are no longer sensitive to β. These results suggest that in order to determine the post-saddle friction strength more accurately by measuring the multiplicities of pre-scission protons and α particles, it is best to populate those heavy compound systems with low isospin. 相似文献

The propagation of monochromatic nonlinear symmetric hybrid waves in a cylindrical nonlinear dielectric waveguide is considered. The physical problem is reduced to solving a transmission eigenvalue problem for a system of ordinary differential equations. Spectral parameters of the problem are propagation constants of the waveguide. The problem is reduced to the new type of nonlinear eigenvalue problem. The analytical method of solving this problem is presented. New propagation regime is found. 相似文献
