N = 4 Supersymmetric (Dyonic) Hypermultiplets in String Theory

In four-dimensional N = 4 supersymmetric gauge theory, we obtain an exact metric on the moduli space of quantum vacua and analyze the spectra of BPS states in weak as well as in strong coupling regions. Identifying the hypermultiplet of the dyonic state as a string stretched between D₃-brane probe and a 7-brane, we demonstrate that the two hypermultiplets, which become massless at two singularities in supersymmetric theory, correspond to open strings beginning on the D₃-brane and ending on the respective 7-brane.

Let (R, 𝔪) be a commutative, noetherian, local ring, E the injective hull of the residue field R/𝔪, and M ^○○ = Hom _R (Hom _R (M, E), E) the bidual of an R-module M. We investigate the elements of Ass(M ^○○) as well as those of Coatt(M) = {𝔭 ∈ Spec(R)|𝔭 = Ann _R (Ann _M (𝔭))} and provide criteria for equality in one of the two inclusions Ass(M) ? Ass(M ^○○) ? Coatt(M). If R is a Nagata ring and M a minimax module, i.e., an extension of a finitely generated R-module by an artinian R-module, we show that Ass(M ^○○) = Ass(M) ∪ {𝔭 ∈ Coatt(M)| R/𝔭 is incomplete}.     

重复率气体火花开关绝缘恢复特性的实验研究

 在自行设计的气体火花开关上，利用双脉冲回路，对纳秒脉冲作用下N₂和H₂的绝缘恢复特性进行了实验研究。结果表明，在静态不吹气情况下，H₂的绝缘恢复时间明显比N₂短。在吹气情况下，适当的气流速度即可使绝缘恢复时间明显缩短。     

LMI优化问题的择一性定理与对偶

Macro‐hybrid mixed variational two‐phase flow through fractured porous media

Macro‐hybrid mixed variational models of two‐phase flow, through fractured porous media, are analyzed at the mesoscopic and macroscopic levels. The mesoscopic models are treated in terms of nonoverlapping domain decompositions, in such a manner that the porous rock matrix system and the fracture network interact across rock–rock, rock–fracture, and fracture–fracture interfaces, with flux transmission conditions dualized. Alternatively, the models are scaled to a macroscopic level via an asymptotic process, where the width of the fractures tends to zero, and the fracture network turns out to be an interface system of one less spatial dimension, with variable high permeability. The two‐phase flow is characterized by a fractional flow dual mixed variational model. Augmented two‐field and three‐field variational reformulations are presented for regularization, internal approximations, and macro‐hybrid mixed finite element implementation. String Cosmological Solutions with O(d,d) Duality Symmetry and Matter Coupling

The duality properties of string cosmology model with negative energy matter are investigated by means of renormalization group equation,the cosmological solutions with exotic matter coupling are obtained in D=d+1 dimensional space-time.These inflation-power solutions can describe accelerated and decelerated process in the early universe,and the duality solutions can be generated through O(d,d) transformations.     

Understanding linear semi-infinite programming via linear programming over cones

In this article, the standard primal and dual linear semi-infinite programming (DLSIP) problems are reformulated as linear programming (LP) problems over cones. Therefore, the dual formulation via the minimal cone approach, which results in zero duality gap for the primal–dual pair for LP problems over cones, can be applied to linear semi-infinite programming (LSIP) problems. Results on the geometry of the set of the feasible solutions for the primal LSIP problem and the optimality criteria for the DLSIP problem are also discussed.     

Application of the method of multipliers to state space constrained optimal control problems with discrete time

The paper deals with convergence conditions of multiplier algorithms for solving optimal control problems with discrete time suggested by J. Bjbvonek in some earlier papers. In this approach the original state space constrained problem is converted into a control-constrained problem by introducing an additional control variable and an equality constraint which is taken into consideration by a multiplier method. Convergence conditions for the multiplier Iteration of global and local nature are given for exact and inexact solution of the subproblems.     

Decomposition in global optimization

The purpose of this article is to propose a simple framework for the various decomposition schemes in mathematical programming.Special instances are discussed. Particular attention is devoted to the general mathematical programming problem with two sets of variables. An economic interpretation in the context of hierarchical planning is done for the suggested decomposition procedure.The framework is based on general duality theory in mathematical programming and thus focussing on approaches leading to global optimality.
