A new methodology for the determination of the fluorescence quantum yield of dyes adsorbed onto microcrystalline cellulose is presented and applied to rhodamine 101, cresyl violet and auramine O. It is based on a previously reported method by Ruetten and Thomas (J. Phys. Chem., 1998, 102, 598-606), which is not applicable to the dyes used in the present study. It uses ground-state diffuse reflectance spectra obtained with and without filters, which prevents the luminescence of the dye from reaching the integrating sphere and the photodetector. New equations are presented here, correcting for the fluorescence emission of the dye, which depends on the detector sensitivity. Cut-on filters, which have a transmittance close to unity in the absorption region, and close to zero in the emission region, of the dye are used to obtain corrected reflectance spectra. The influence of the substrate was also taken into account. This methodology may be applied to other probes and surfaces or emissions of a different nature (i.e., phosphorescence or delayed fluorescence), and constitutes a very simple and general procedure to solve the important problem of luminescence quantum yield determination of probes adsorbed onto solid powdered surfaces. 相似文献

Mathematical models based on chemometric analyses of the coffee beverage sensory data and NIR spectra of 51 Arabica roasted coffee samples were generated aiming to predict the scores of acidity, bitterness, flavour, cleanliness, body and overall quality of coffee beverage. Partial least squares (PLS) were used to construct the models. The ordered predictor selection (OPS) algorithm was applied to select the wavelengths for the regression model of each sensory attribute in order to take only significant regions into account. The regions of the spectrum defined as important for sensory quality were closely related to the NIR spectra of pure caffeine, trigonelline, 5-caffeoylquinic acid, cellulose, coffee lipids, sucrose and casein. The NIR analyses sustained that the relationship between the sensory characteristics of the beverage and the chemical composition of the roasted grain were as listed below: 1 - the lipids and proteins were closely related to the attribute body; 2 - the caffeine and chlorogenic acids were related to bitterness; 3 - the chlorogenic acids were related to acidity and flavour; 4 - the cleanliness and overall quality were related to caffeine, trigonelline, chlorogenic acid, polysaccharides, sucrose and protein. 相似文献

To realize spectral diffuse reflectance scale in 0/d geometric condition at National Institute of Metrology in China (NIM), a facility based on a non-standard auxiliary integrating sphere method with special structure has been built up and a correction method for the influence on the thickness of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coating at the port of auxiliary integrating sphere is mainly discussed. The uncertainty of spectral diffuse reflectance in NIM is approximately 0.25% (k = 2) in 380–800 nm. This facility has been used to establish China diffuse reflectance scales in the VIS–NIR part of the spectrum. The transient absorption properties of several commercially available TiO2 photocatalysts were investigated by femtosecond diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy. Using femtosecond diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy, the quantities and rates of the initial trapping processes of holes and electrons generated by the photoexcitation of TiO2 photocatalysts were investigated. It was found that the total amounts of trapped electrons for the pure-anatase and pure-rutile TiO2 became smaller with increasing particle size, but increased again when the particles’ diameters were larger than 50 nm. The anatase–rutile mixed TiO2 photocatalysts were found to have smaller amounts of trapped electrons compared with pure-anatase and pure-rutile TiO2 photocatalysts. The lifetimes of trapped holes of various TiO2 photocatalysts were also investigated, and it was found that the lifetimes were proportional to the anatase–rutile mixed ratios. 相似文献

Polycrystalline samples of Pb(Mg1/4Zn1/4Nb1/2)O11/4 have been synthesized by high temperature columbite precursor solid state reaction technique. Using X-ray diffraction (XRD)
