We study the partition function of two versions of the continuum directed polymer in 1+1 dimension. In the full-space version, the polymer starts at the origin and is free to move transversally in R, and in the half-space version, the polymer starts at the origin but is reflected at the origin and stays in R−. The partition functions solve the stochastic heat equation in full-space or half-space with mixed boundary condition at the origin; or equivalently the free energy satisfies the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang equation. 相似文献

Thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations are coupled nonlinear integral equations which appear frequently when solving integrable models. Those associated with models with N=2 supersymmetry can be related to differential equations, among them Painlevé III and the Toda hierarchy. In the simplest such case, the massless limit of these nonlinear integral equations can be solved in terms of the Airy function. This is the only known closed-form solution of thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations, outside of free or classical models. We consider a multi-species generalization of the Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process on an open chain, in which particles hop with their characteristic hopping rates and fast particles can overtake slow ones. The number of species is arbitrary and the hopping rates can be selected from a discrete or continuous distribution. We determine exactly the phase structure of this model and show how the phase diagram of the 1-species ASEP is modified. Depending on the distribution of hopping rates, the system can exist in a three-phase regime or a two-phase regime. In the three-phase regime the phase structure is almost the same as in the one species case, that is, there are the low density, the high density and the maximal current phases, while in the two-phase regime there is no high-density phase. 相似文献

A unipolar electrohydrodynamic (UP-EHD) pump flow is studied with known electric potential at the emitter and zero electric potential at the collector. The model is designed for electric potential, charge density, and electric field. The dimensionless parameters, namely the electrical source number , the electrical Reynolds number , and electrical slip number , are considered with wide ranges of variation to analyze the UP-EHD pump flow. To interpret the pump flow of the UP-EHD model, a hybrid metaheuristic solver is designed, consisting of the recently developed technique sine–cosine algorithm (SCA) and sequential quadratic programming (SQP) under the influence of an artificial neural network. The method is abbreviated as ANN-SCA-SQP. The superiority of the technique is shown by comparing the solution with reference solutions. For a large data set, the technique is executed for one hundred independent experiments. The performance is evaluated through performance operators and convergence plots. 相似文献
