On Hardy’s Theorem on SU(1, 1)

The classical Hardy theorem asserts that ■ and its Fourier transform ■ can not both be very rapidly decreasing.This theorem was generalized on Lie groups and also for the Fourier-Jacobi transform.However,on SU(1,1)there are infinitely many"good"functions in the sense that ■ and its spherical Fourier transform ■ both have good decay. In this paper,we shall characterize such functions on SU(1,1).     

Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability of Cauchy equation in the space of Schwartz distributions

We reformulate and prove the Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability of Cauchy equation in the space of Schwartz tempered distributions and Fourier hyperfunctions.     

乘积空间上极大奇异积分算子的Lp有界性

用旋转法结合Fourier估计以及Littlewood-Paley理论给出了乘积空间上带粗糙核的极大奇异积分算子的Lp有界性.证明了对于Ω∈Lq(Sn-1×Sm1),其中q＞1,∫ sn-1Ω(x',y')dx'=0, y'∈Sm-1,∫ sm-1Ω(x',y')dy'=0, x'∈Sn-1,且b,h∈L∞(R1+),则积域上极大奇异积分算子T*(f)=supε1＞0,ε2＞0∫∫|u|＞ε1|v|＞ε2b(|u|)h (|v|)Ω(u',v')/|v|n|v|mf(x-u,y-v)dudv为Lp(Rn×Rm)有界,其中1＜p＜∞.从而改进了以往的结果.     

Analytic continuation and identities involving heat,Poisson, wave and Bessel kernels

In this article we use classical formulas involving the K–Bessel function in two variables to express the Poisson kernel on a Riemannian manifold in terms of the heat kernel. We then use the small time asymptotics of the heat kernel on certain Riemannian manifolds to obtain a meromorphic continuation of the associated Poisson kernel to all values of complex time with identifiable singularities. This result reproves in a different setting by different means a well–known theorem due to Duistermaat and Guillemin [DG 75]. Also, we develop analytic expressions for the heat kernel beyond asymptotic expansions. (© 2003 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

利用不变积分核(Berndtsson核),复Finsler度量和联系于Chern-Finsler联络的非线性联络,研究复Finsler流形上具有逐块光滑C~((1))边界的有界域上(p,q)型微分形式的积分表示,得到了(p,q)型微分形式的Koppelman-Leray-Norguet公式和■-方程的解．作为应用,利用复Finsler度量和联系于Chern-Finsler联络的非线性联络,给出了Stein流形上具有逐块光滑C~((1))边界的有界域上(p,q)型微分形式的Koppelman- Leray-Norguet公式以及■-方程的解,并且得到了Stein流形上实非退化强拟凸多面体上(p,q)型微分形式的积分表示式和■-方程的解．     

Estimates from Below for the Spectral Function and for the Remainder in Local Weyl’s Law

We obtain asymptotic lower bounds for the spectral function of the Laplacian and for the remainder in local Weyl’s law on manifolds. In the negatively curved case, thermodynamic formalism is applied to improve the estimates. Key ingredients of the proof include the wave equation parametrix, a pretrace formula and the Dirichlet box principle. Our results develop and extend the unpublished thesis of A. Karnaukh [Ka]. On multiple integrals of special form

Multiple integrals generalizing the iterated kernels of integral operators are expressed as single integrals in the case of a special representation of the kernel (this is our theorem). Besides integral equations, Markov processes involve these integrals as well. As a consequence of the theorem, we obtain transition probability densities of certain Markov processes. As an illustration, we consider nine examples.     

Nonparametric Density Estimation in Hidden Markov Models

Let { X n} be a Markov chain that is either f -mixing or satisfies the Poisson equation.In this note we obtain the convergence rate under L 1 -criterion for bounded functions of the X k 's. And in the hidden Markov model setup { (X n ,Y n ) }we study the kernel estimate of the density of the observed variables { Y n }when a 'stable' status is reached.

A note on the complexity and tractability of the heat equation

We wish to solve the heat equation u_t=Δu-qu in I^d×(0,T), where I is the unit interval and T is a maximum time value, subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions and to initial conditions u(·,0)=f over I^d. We show that this problem is intractable if f belongs to standard Sobolev spaces, even if we have complete information about q. However, if f and q belong to a reproducing kernel Hilbert space with finite-order weights, we can show that the problem is tractable, and can actually be strongly tractable.
