In this paper, we consider a minimax problem of optimal control for a class of strongly nonlinear uncertain evolution equations on a Banach space. We prove the existence of optimal controls. Dengue fever is one of the most dangerous vector‐borne diseases in the world in terms of death and economic cost. Hence, the modeling of dengue fever is of great significance to understand the dynamics of dengue. In this paper, we extend dengue disease transmission models by including transmit vaccinated class, in which a portion of recovered individual loses immunity and moves to the susceptibles with limited immunity and hence a less transmission probability. We obtain the threshold dynamics governed by the basic reproduction number R0; it is shown that the disease‐free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable if R0 ≤ 1, and the system is uniformly persistence if R0 > 1. We do sensitivity analysis in order to identify the key factors that greatly affect the dengue infection, and the partial rank correlation coefficient (PRCC) values for R0 shows that the bitting rate is the most effective in lowering dengue new infections, and moreover, control of mosquito size plays an essential role in reducing equilibrium level of dengue infection. Hence, the public are highly suggested to control population size of mosquitoes and to use mosquito nets. By formulating the control objective, associated with the low infection and costs, we propose an optimal control question. By the application of optimal control theory, we analyze the existence of optimal control and obtain necessary conditions for optimal controls. Numerical simulations are carried out to show the effectiveness of control strategies; these simulations recommended that control measures such as protection from mosquito bites and mosquito eradication strategies effectively control and eradicate the dengue infections during the whole epidemic.  相似文献

We study a stochastic optimal control problem for a partially observed diffusion. By using the control randomization method in Bandini et al. (2018), we prove a corresponding randomized dynamic programming principle (DPP) for the value function, which is obtained from a flow property of an associated filter process. This DPP is the key step towards our main result: a characterization of the value function of the partial observation control problem as the unique viscosity solution to the corresponding dynamic programming Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation. The latter is formulated as a new, fully non linear partial differential equation on the Wasserstein space of probability measures. An important feature of our approach is that it does not require any non-degeneracy condition on the diffusion coefficient, and no condition is imposed to guarantee existence of a density for the filter process solution to the controlled Zakai equation. Finally, we give an explicit solution to our HJB equation in the case of a partially observed non Gaussian linear–quadratic model.  相似文献

This paper deals with a hierarchical control problem for the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation following a Stackelberg–Nash strategy. We assume that there is a main control, called the leader, and two secondary controls, called the followers. The leader tries to drive the solution to a prescribed target and the followers intend to be a Nash equilibrium for given functionals. It is known that this problem is equivalent to a null controllability result for an optimality system consisting of three non-linear equations. One of the novelties is a new Carleman estimate for a fourth-order equation with right-hand sides in Sobolev spaces of negative order, which allows to relax some geometric conditions for the observation sets for the followers.  相似文献

A stabilization problem for Burgers' equation is considered. Using linearization, various controllers are constructed which minimize certain weighted energy functionals. These controllers produce the desired degree of stability for the closed-loop nonlinear system. A numerical scheme for computing the feedback gain functional is developed and several numerical experiments are performed to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

We focus on numerically solving a typical type of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equations arising from a class of optimal controls with a standard multidimensional diffusion model. Solving such an equation results in the value function and an optimal feedback control law. The Bellman's curse of dimensionality seems to be the main obstacle to applicability of most numerical algorithms for solving HJB. We decompose HJB into a number of lower-dimensional problems, and discuss how the usual alternating direction method can be extended for solving HJB. We present some convergence results, as well as preliminary experimental outcomes.This research was funded in part by an RGC grant from the University of Alabama.  相似文献

We show the existence ofaverage cost (AC-) optimal policy for an inventory system withuncountable state space; in fact, the AC-optimal cost and an AC-optimal stationary policy areexplicitly computed.
