Asymptotics of the Best Polynomial Approximation of?|x|p and?of?the Best Laurent Polynomial Approximation of sgn(x) on Two Symmetric Intervals

We present a new method that allows us to get a direct proof of the classical Bernstein asymptotics for the error of the best uniform polynomial approximation of |x| ^p on two symmetric intervals. Note that, in addition, we get asymptotics for the polynomials themselves under a certain renormalization. Also, we solve a problem on asymptotics of the best approximation of sgn(x) on [−1,−a]∪[a,1] by Laurent polynomials.      

An iterative algorithm based on -proximal mappings for a system of generalized implicit variational inclusions in Banach spaces

In this paper, we give the notion of M-proximal mapping, an extension of P-proximal mapping given in [X.P. Ding, F.Q. Xia, A new class of completely generalized quasi-variational inclusions in Banach spaces, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 147 (2002) 369–383], for a nonconvex, proper, lower semicontinuous and subdifferentiable functional on Banach space and prove its existence and Lipschitz continuity. Further, we consider a system of generalized implicit variational inclusions in Banach spaces and show its equivalence with a system of implicit Wiener–Hopf equations using the concept of M-proximal mappings. Using this equivalence, we propose a new iterative algorithm for the system of generalized implicit variational inclusions. Furthermore, we prove the existence of solution of the system of generalized implicit variational inclusions and discuss the convergence and stability analysis of the iterative algorithm.

Liczberski-Starkov first found a lower bound for ||D(f)|| near the origin, where is the Roper-Suffridge operator on the unit ball Bn in Cn and F is a normalized convex function on the unit disk. Later, Liczberski-Starkov and Hamada-Kohr proved the lower bound holds on the whole unit ball using a complex computation. Here we provide a rather short and easy proof for the lower bound. Similarly, when F is a normalized starlike function on the unit disk, a lower bound of ||D(f)|| is obtained again.     

Convex hull theorem for multiply connected domains in the plane with an estimate of the quasiconformal constant

For any multiply connected domain Ω in R2, let S be the boundary of the convex hull in H3 of R2\Ω which faces Ω. Suppose in addition that there exists a lower bound l > 0 of the hyperbolic lengths of closed geodesics in Ω. Then there is always a K-quasiconformal mapping from S to Ω, which extends continuously to the identity on S = Ω, where K depends only on l. We also give a numerical estimate of K by using the parameter l.     

非线性优化修正Frisch函数方法的乘子映射

对于同时含有等式与不等式约束的非线性优化问题的修正Frisch函数方法,给出其乘子映射和解映射的导数的估计.将得到的估计用于建立修正Frisch函数方法的线性收敛速率.在线性无关的约束规范,严格互补条件和二阶充分性条件成立的前提下,证得该收敛率与1/c成正比.本文的收敛性分析依赖于矩阵的奇异值分解,其方法可以用来分析其他的修正Lagrange方法.     

Banach空间渐近非扩张半群的弱半闭性定理

研究了在Banach空间中渐近非扩张半群的弱半闭性原理,依据满足Opial条件及渐近P性质的Banach空间,给出了一系列引理,通过减弱渐近非扩张映照的收敛定理的条件,给出了新的半闭原理——弱半闭原理.     

Mappings connected with the gradient of conformal radius

In this paper we prove the following conformity criterion for the gradient of conformal radius ?R(D, z) of a convex domain D: the boundary ?D has to be a circumference. We calculate coefficients K(r) for K(r)-quasiconformal mappings ?R(D(r), z), D(r) ? D, 0 < r < 1, and complete the results obtained by F. G. Avkhadiev and K.-J. Wirths for the structure of boundary elements of quasiconformal mappings of the domain D.
