A new algorithm for sample selection in the field of experimental design is presented. This method was designed for a multivariate data set of samples where the variables' levels are pre‐determined by the system instead of being determined by the practitioner and especially appropriate for non‐symmetrical multivariable space. Symmetrical experimental designs are not applicable in either of the cases. Anyway, this method is also applicable to symmetrical designs. Several tests have been made for symmetrical and non‐symmetrical cases and also about an already treated real case, comparing the new algorithm with others previously known in literature. This paper investigates the portfolio strategy problem for passive fund management. We propose a novel portfolio strategy that combines the existing stratified strategy and optimized sampling strategy. The proposed method enables one to include adequate practical information in portfolio decision making, and promotes better out‐of‐sample performance. A mixed‐integer program model is built that captures the stratification information, the cardinality requirement, and other practical constraints. The corresponding model is able to forecast and generate optimal tracking portfolios with high performance, especially in out‐of‐sample time period. As mixed‐integer program is a well‐known NP‐hard problem, to tackle the computational challenge, we propose a stratified hybrid genetic algorithm, in which a novel crossover operator is introduced. To evaluate the proposed strategy and algorithm, we conduct numerical tests on real data sets collected from China Stock Exchange Markets. The experimental results show that the algorithm runs efficiently and the portfolio strategy performs significantly better than other existing strategies. 相似文献

Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) is an effective technique for the extraction of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) from environmental water samples. Although it has been also applied to sediments, the organic content of this matrix causes an exponential decrease in the yield of the extraction. This work presents an improved SPME procedure for the sensitive determination of six PBDEs (tetra- to hexa-brominated congeners) in sediments containing up to 6% of total organic carbon (TOC). Samples (0.25–0.5 g) were accurately weighed in 22 mL glass vessels, mixed with a given amount of potassium permanganate, 0.5 mL of sulphuric acid and 5 mL of water. Extractions were performed at 100 °C, for 40 min, using a polyacrylate (PA) coated fibre in the headspace (HS) mode. Potassium permanganate showed a dramatic, positive effect on the yield of the extraction. Its optimum amount was related to the TOC of the sediment, with overall highest responses attained for 40 mg of oxidant per mg of organic carbon in the SPME vessel. Under final working conditions, the combination of SPME with gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS) provided relative standard deviations (RSDs) below 14%, relative recoveries from 76 to 111% and limits of quantification (LOQs) lower than 0.15 ng g−1 for all the investigated PBDEs in spiked river and marine sediments with different TOC. The performance of the method was also evaluated satisfactorily with a medium complexity (TOC 6.7%), real-life polluted sediment, previously analyzed in inter-laboratory comparison exercises. 相似文献

In this paper, a novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) coated stir bar with ractopamine as template by glass capillary filling with magnetic core as substrate was prepared reproducibly. The ractopamine MIP coating was homogeneous and porous with the average thickness of 20.6 μm. The extraction apparatus for the stir bar was improved to avoid coating loss. The MIP-coated stir bar showed better extraction capacity and good selectivity than that of non-imprinted polymer (NIP) coated stir bar to ractopamine and its analogues. The extraction capacities of ractopamine, isoxsuprine, clenbuterol and fenoterol for MIP-coated stir bar were 3.3, 3.1, 2.8 and 2.4 times as much as that of the NIP coated stir bar, respectively. The MIP-coated stir bars could be used at least 40 times without apparent damage and kept in dried air for 8 months without reduce of extraction ability. A method for the determination of β2-agonists in complex samples by MIP-coated stir bar sorptive extraction coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was developed. The linear ranges were 0.5–40 μg/L for ractopamine and 1.0–40 μg/L for isoxsuprine and clenbuterol. The detection limits were within the range of 0.10–0.21 μg/L. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of β2-agonists in spiked pork, liver and feed samples with the recoveries of 83.7–92.3%, 80.5–90.2% and 73.6–86.2%, respectively. The RSDs was within 2.9–8.1%. The method is very suitable for the determination of trace β2-agonists in pork, liver and feed samples. 相似文献

A new type of amperometric glucose biosensor based on silicon dioxide coated magnetic nanoparticle decorated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (Fe3O4@SiO2/MWNTs) on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) has been developed. MWNTs have been synthesized by catalytic chemical vapour decomposition (CCVD) of acetylene over rare earth (RE) based AB3 alloy hydride catalyst. The as-grown MWNTs have been purified and further functionlized. Functionalized MWNTs have been decorated with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles which have been uniformly coated with biocompatible SiO2 using a simple chemical reduction method. The characterization of magnetic nanoparticle modified MWNTs have been done by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infra red spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and UV-vis spectroscopy. Amperometric biosensor has been fabricated by the deposition of glucose oxidase (GOD) over Nafion-solubilized Fe3O4@SiO2/MWNTs electrode. The resultant bioelectrode retains its biocatalytic activity and offers fast and sensitive glucose quantification. The performance of the biosensor has been studied using cyclic voltammetry and amperometry and the results have been discussed. The fabricated glucose biosensor exhibits a linear response from 1 μM to 30 mM with an excellent detection limit of 800 nM indicating the potential applications in food industries. 相似文献
