Let G=(V,E) be a graph and SV. The set S is a secure set if XS,|N[X]∩S|≥|N[X]−S|, and S is a global secure set if S is a secure set and a dominating set. The cardinality of a minimum global secure set of G is the global security number of G, denoted γs(G). The sets studied in this paper are different from secure dominating sets studied in Cockayne et al. (2003) [3], Grobler and Mynhardt (2009) [8], or Klostermeyer and Mynhardt (2008) [13], which are also denoted by γs.In this paper, we provide results on the global security numbers of paths, cycles and their Cartesian products.  相似文献

For a quandle X, the quandle space BX is defined, modifying the rack space of Fenn, Rourke and Sanderson (1995) [13], and the quandle homotopy invariant of links is defined in Z[π2(BX)], modifying the rack homotopy invariant of Fenn, Rourke and Sanderson (1995) [13]. It is known that the cocycle invariants introduced in Carter et al. (2005) [3], Carter et al. (2003) [5], Carter et al. (2001) [6] can be derived from the quandle homotopy invariant.In this paper, we show that, for a finite quandle X, π2(BX) is finitely generated, and that, for a connected finite quandle X, π2(BX) is finite. It follows that the space spanned by cocycle invariants for a finite quandle is finitely generated. Further, we calculate π2(BX) for some concrete quandles. From the calculation, all cocycle invariants for those quandles are concretely presented. Moreover, we show formulas of the quandle homotopy invariant for connected sum of knots and for the mirror image of links.  相似文献

Some new classes of pseudoopen continuous mappings are introduced. Using these, we provide some sufficient conditions for an image of a space under a pseudoopen continuous mapping to be first-countable, or for the mapping to be biquotient. In particular, we show that if a regular pseudocompact space Y is an image of a metric space X under a pseudoopen continuous almost S-mapping, then Y is first-countable. Among our main results are Theorems 2.5, 2.11, 2.12, 2.13, 2.14. See also Example 2.15, Corollary 2.7, and Theorem 2.18.  相似文献

That there is a close connection between crude (or suspended) Hopf invariants and the reduced diagonal map has long been known. In this paper we build on a classical result of Boardman and Steer (1967) to explore some further relationships in terms of conic structures. In a related result we show that certain Toda brackets contain crude Hopf invariants as elements. In particular, using this latter observation, detection of crude Hopf invariants can be carried out.  相似文献

Building on work of Terada, we prove that h-homogeneity is productive in the class of zero-dimensional spaces. Then, by generalizing a result of Motorov, we show that for every non-empty zero-dimensional space X there exists a non-empty zero-dimensional space Y such that X×Y is h-homogeneous. Also, we simultaneously generalize results of Motorov and Terada by showing that if X is a space such that the isolated points are dense then Xκ is h-homogeneous for every infinite cardinal κ. Finally, we show that a question of Terada (whether Xω is h-homogeneous for every zero-dimensional first-countable X) is equivalent to a question of Motorov (whether such an infinite power is always divisible by 2) and give some partial answers.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to propose a variational piecewise constant level set method for solving elliptic shape and topology optimization problems. The original model is approximated by a two-phase optimal shape design problem by the ersatz material approach. Under the piecewise constant level set framework, we first reformulate the two-phase design problem to be a new constrained optimization problem with respect to the piecewise constant level set function. Then we solve it by the projection Lagrangian method. A gradient-type iterative algorithm is presented. Comparisons between our numerical results and those obtained by level set approaches show the effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency of our algorithm.  相似文献

If we use Littlewood-Paley decomposition, there is no pseudo-orthogonality for Ho¨rmander symbol operators OpS m 0 , 0 , which is different to the case S m ρ,δ (0 ≤δ < ρ≤ 1). In this paper, we use a special numerical algorithm based on wavelets to study the L p continuity of non infinite smooth operators OpS m 0 , 0 ; in fact, we apply first special wavelets to symbol to get special basic operators, then we regroup all the special basic operators at given scale and prove that such scale operator’s continuity decreases very fast, we sum such scale operators and a symbol operator can be approached by very good compact operators. By correlation of basic operators, we get very exact pseudo-orthogonality and also L 2 → L 2 continuity for scale operators. By considering the influence region of scale operator, we get H 1 (= F 0 , 2 1 ) → L 1 continuity and L ∞→ BMO continuity. By interpolation theorem, we get also L p (= F 0 , 2 p ) → L p continuity for 1 < p < ∞ . Our results are sharp for F 0 , 2 p → L p continuity when 1 ≤ p ≤ 2, that is to say, we find out the exact order of derivations for which the symbols can ensure the resulting operators to be bounded on these spaces.  相似文献
