We give a short proof of a generalization of the Rolewicz theorem based on the uniform boundedness principle.

     

Inner sequence based invariant subspaces in

A closed subspace is said to be invariant if it is invariant under the Toeplitz operators and . Invariant subspaces of are well-known to be very complicated. So discovering some good examples of invariant subspaces will be beneficial to the general study. This paper studies a type of invariant subspace constructed through a sequence of inner functions. It will be shown that this type of invariant subspace has direct connections with the Jordan operator. Related calculations also give rise to a simple upper bound for , where are zeros of a Blaschke product.

     

Moment problem with contractive solutions: the regular case

An operator multivariate moment problem with contractive solutions having regular unitary dilation is characterized in terms of the initial data. This extends a recent result of Sebestyén and Popovici, but the ideas of our proof differ from those used by them. The connection between the operator multivariate moment problem and harmonizable multivariate discrete processes is mentioned.

     

Drifted Laplace operators on homogeneous trees

We determine the spectrum and the resolvent operator of a drifted Laplace operator on a homogeneous tree, obtaining qualitatively different results according to the sign of the drift in the direction of a boundary point.

     

A Lower Bound for the Differences of Powers of Linear Operators

Let T be a bounded linear operator in a Banach space, with σ（T）={1}. In 1983, Esterle-Berkani＇ s conjecture was proposed for the decay of differences （I - T） T^n as follows： Eitheror lim inf （n→∞（n＋1）｜｜（I-T）T^n｜｜≥1/e or T = I. We prove this claim and discuss some of its consequences.     

A New View on Fuzzy Hypermodules

We describe the relationship between the fuzzy sets and the algebraic hyperstructures. In fact, this paper is a continuation of the ideas presented by Davvaz in （Fuzzy Sets Syst., 117： 477- 484, 2001） and Bhakat and Das in （Fuzzy Sets Syst., 80： 359-368, 1996）. The concept of the quasicoincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval-valued fuzzy set is introduced and this is a natural generalization of the quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy point in fuzzy sets. By using this new idea, the concept of interval-valued （α,β）-fuzzy sub-hypermodules of a hypermodule is defined. Adaptive frame methods for elliptic operator equations: the steepest descent approach

Positive Schatten(-Herz) Class Toeplitz Operators on the Half-space

On the harmonic Bergman space of the half-space, we give characterizations for an arbitrary positive Toeplitz operator to be a Schatten (or Schatten-Herz) class operator in terms of averaging functions and Berezin transforms.
