This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of d ‐fructose modified poly(ethylene glycol) (Fru‐PEG) and fructose modified poly(ethylene glycol)‐block‐poly(ethyl hexyl glycidyl ether) (Fru‐PEG‐b‐PEHG) that are both prepared by initiation with isopropyliden protected fructose, followed by deprotection of the sugar. The block copolymers are self‐assembled into micelles, and are subsequently characterized by cryo‐TEM and dynamic light scattering. The fluorescent dye Nile red is encapsulated as a model hydrophobic compound and fluorescent marker to perform initial uptake tests with breast cancer cells. The uptake of sugar and nonsugar decorated micelles is compared.  相似文献

The local distortions and electron paramagnetic resonance parameters for Cu2+ in the mixed alkali borate glasses xNa2O‐(30–x)K2O‐70B2O3 (5 ≤ x ≤ 25 mol%) are theoretically studied with distinct modifier Na2O compositions x. Owing to the Jahn–Teller effect, the octahedral [CuO6]10− clusters show significant tetragonal elongation ratios p ~19% along the C4 axis. With the increase of composition x, the cubic field parameter Dq and the orbital reduction factor k exhibit linearly and quasi‐linearly decreasing tendencies, respectively, whereas the relative tetragonal elongation ratio p has quasi‐linearly increasing rule with some fluctuations, leading to the minima of g factors at x = 10 mol%. The composition dependences of the optical spectra and the electron paramagnetic resonance parameters are suitably reproduced by the linear or quasi‐linear relationships of the relevant quantities (i.e., Dq, k, and p) with x. The above composition dependences are analyzed from mixed alkali effect, which brings forward the modifications of the local crystal‐fields and the electronic cloud distribution around Cu2+ with the variation of the composition of Na2O.  相似文献

In native systems, scaffolding proteins play important roles in assembling proteins into complexes to transduce signals. This concept is yet to be applied to the assembly of functional transmembrane protein complexes in artificial systems. To address this issue, DNA origami has the potential to serve as scaffolds that arrange proteins at specific positions in complexes. Herein, we report that Kir3 K+ channel proteins are assembled through zinc‐finger protein (ZFP)‐adaptors at specific locations on DNA origami scaffolds. Specific binding of the ZFP‐fused Kir3 channels and ZFP‐based adaptors on DNA origami were confirmed by atomic force microscopy and gel electrophoresis. Furthermore, the DNA origami with ZFP binding sites nearly tripled the K+ channel current activity elicited by heterotetrameric Kir3 channels in HEK293T cells. Thus, our method provides a useful template to control the oligomerization states of membrane protein complexes in vitro and in living cells.  相似文献

From a technological point of view, the synthesis of new high‐silica zeolites is of prime importance owing to their high potential as industrial catalysts and catalyst supports. Two such materials have been synthesized which are made up of the 1,3‐stellated cubic unit (hexahedral ([4254]) bre unit) as a secondary building unit, with the aid of existing imidazolium‐based structure‐directing agents under “excess fluoride” conditions. One of them, denoted PST‐21, is the first aluminosilicate zeolite consisting of 9‐ring apertures solely; it displays exceptional activity towards steering the skeletal isomerization of 1‐butene to isobutene and bridges the gap between small‐ and medium‐pore structures. A series of hypothetical structures are also described that are nonjointly built from the bre unit; all of these structures are chemically feasible and will thus be helpful in designing the synthesis of novel zeolites containing 9‐ring and/or 10‐ring channels.  相似文献

Macrocyclization of a stable two‐turn helical aromatic pentamide, that is, an object with diverging ends that are not prone to cyclization, was made possible by the transient introduction of disruptors of helicity in the form of acid‐labile dimethoxybenzyl tertiary amide substituents. After removal of the helicity disruptors, NMR, X‐ray crystallography, and computational studies show that the macrocycle possesses a strained structure that tries to gain as high a helical content as possible despite being cyclic. Two points of disruption of helicity remain, in particular a cis amide bond. This point of disruption of helicity can propagate along the cycle in a fluxional manner according to defined trajectories to produce ten degenerate conformations.  相似文献

To provide theoretical insight into the structures and properties of Sc3N@C80, which has been isolated in high yield and purity as a new stable endohedral metallofullerene, density functional calculations are carried out for the Sc3?nLanN@C80 (n=0–3) series. Because of electron transfer from Sc3N to C80, the electronic structure of Sc3N@C80 is formally described as (Sc3N)6+C$_{80}^{6-}$. The encapsulated Sc3N cluster takes a planar structure with long Sc–Sc distances and is highly stabilized inside the Ih cage of C80, which rotates rapidly. As the number of La atoms increases, the Sc3?nLanN cluster is forced to maintain a pyramidal structure in Sc3?nLanN@C80. In addition, the C80 cage takes an open‐shell electronic structure due to an increase in the number of electrons transferring from Sc3?nLanN. The Variable Reaction Behaviour of Base‐free Tris(trimethylsilyl)methyl Lithium with Trihalogenides of Earth‐Metals and Iron Base‐free tris(trimethylsilyl)methyl Lithium, Tsi–Li, reacts with the earth‐metal trihalogenides (MHal3 with M = Al, Ga, In and Hal = Cl, Br, I) primarily to give the metallates [Tsi–MHal3]Li. Simultaneous to this simple metathesis a methylation also takes place, mainly with heavier halogenides of Ga and In with excess Tsi–Li, forming the mono and dimethyl compounds Tsi–M(Me)Hal (M = Ga, In; Hal = I), Tsi–MMe2 (M = Ga), and the bis(trisyl)derivative (Tsi)2InMe, respectively and the main by‐product 1,3‐disilacyclobutane. Representatives of each type of compound have been isolated by fractionating crystallizations or sublimations and characterized by spectroscopic methods (1H, 13C, 29Si NMR, IR, Raman) and X‐ray elucidations. Reduction takes place, when FeCl3 reacts with Tsi–Li (1 : 3 ratio) in toluene at 55–60 °C, yielding red‐violet Fe(Tsi)2, 1,1,1‐tris(trimethylsilyl)‐2‐phenyl ethane and low amounts of Tsi–Cl. Fe(Tsi)2 is monomeric, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c and consists of a linear C–Fe–C skeleton with d(Fe–C) of 204,5(4) pm.  相似文献

Ce3Cl5[SiO4] and Ce3Cl6[PO4]: A Chloride‐Rich Chloride Silicate of Cerium as Compared to the Phosphate By reacting CeCl3 with CeO2, cerium and SiO2, or P2O5, respectively, in molar ratios of 5 : 3 : 1 : 3 or 8 : 3 : 1 : 2, respectively, in sealed evacuated silica tubes (7 d, 850 °C) colorless, rod‐shaped single crystals of Ce3Cl5[SiO4] (orthorhombic, Pnma; a = 1619.7(2), b = 415.26(4), 1423.6(1) pm; Z = 4) and Ce3Cl6[PO4] (hexagonal, P63/m; a = 1246.36(9), c = 406.93(4) pm; Z = 2) are obtained as products insensitive to air and water. Excess cerium trichloride as flux promotes crystal growth and can be rinsed off again with water after the reaction. The crystal structures are determined by discrete [SiO4]4– or [PO4]3– tetrahedra as isolated units. Both, the chloride silicate Ce3Cl5[SiO4] and the chloride phosphate Ce3Cl6[PO4], exhibit structural similarities to CeCl3 (UCl3 type), when four or three Cl anions are each substituted formally by one [SiO4]4– or [PO4]3– unit, respectively, in the tripled formula (Ce3Cl9). The coordination number for Ce3+ is thus raised from nine in CeCl3 to ten in Ce3Cl5[SiO4] and Ce3Cl6[PO4], along with a drastic reduction of the molar volume with the transition from Ce3Cl9 (Vm = 186.17 cm3/mol) to Ce3Cl5[SiO4] (Vm = 144.15 cm3/mol) and Ce3Cl6[PO4] (Vm = 164.84 cm3/mol). The polyhedra of coordination around Ce3+ can be described as quadruple‐capped trigonal prisms, which in addition to seven Cl anions each also show another three oxygen atoms of two ortho‐silicate or ortho‐phosphate tetrahedra, respectively.  相似文献

Pervanadyl (VO2+) complexes with N‐(aroyl)‐N′‐(picolinylidene)hydrazines (HL = Hpabh, Hpath and Hpadh; H stands for the dissociable amide hydrogen) are described. The Schiff bases were obtained by condensation of 2‐pyridine‐carboxaldehyde with benzhydrazide (Hpabh), 4‐methylbenzhydrazide (Hpath) and 4‐dimethylaminobenzhydrazide (Hpadh), respectively. The reaction of [VO(acac)2] and HL in acetonitrile in air affords the complexes of general formula [VO2L]. The diamagnetic nature and EPR silence confirm the +5 oxidation state of vanadium in these complexes. Infrared spectra of the complexes are consistent with the enolate form of the coordinated ligands. Electronic spectra show charge transfer bands in the range 486–233 nm. The complexes are redox active and display an irreversible reduction (–0.64 to –0.72 V vs. Ag/AgCl). The crystal structures of all the complexes have been determined. In each complex, the metal centre is in a distorted trigonal‐bipyramidal N2O3 coordination sphere formed by the pyridine‐N, the imine‐N and the deprotonated amide‐O donor L and two oxo groups. The planar ligand satisfies one equatorial and two axial positions. The other two equatorial positions are occupied by the two oxo groups. In the solid state, the molecules of each of the three complexes form a chain‐like arrangement via the azomethine‐H…oxo interactions. Interchain weak π‐π interactions lead to two dimensional networks for [VO2(pabh)] and [VO2(path)]. On the other hand, [VO2(padh)] forms a two‐dimensional network through interchain N‐methyl‐H…oxo interactions.  相似文献

Dodecahydro‐ closo ‐dodecaborates of the Heavy Alkaline‐Earth Metals from Aqueous Solution: Ca(H2O)7[B12H12] · H2O, Sr(H2O)8[B12H12], and Ba(H2O)6[B12H12] The crystalline hydrates of the heavy alkaline earth metal dodecahydro‐closo‐dodecaborates (M[B12H12] · n H2O, n = 6–8; M = Ca, Sr, Ba) are easily accessible by reaction of an aqueous (H3O)2[B12H12] solution with an alkaline earth metal carbonate (MCO3). By isothermic evaporation of the respective aqueous solution we obtained colourless single crystals which are characterized by X‐ray diffraction at room temperature. The three compounds Ca(H2O)7[B12H12] · H2O (orthorhombic, P212121; a = 1161.19(7), b = 1229.63(8), c = 1232.24(8) pm; Z = 4), Sr(H2O)8[B12H12] (trigonal, R3; a = 1012.71(6), c = 1462.94(9) pm; Z = 3) and Ba(H2O)6[B12H12] (orthorhombic, Cmcm; a = 1189.26(7) pm, b = 919.23(5) pm, c = 1403.54(9) pm; Z = 4) are neither formula‐equal nor isostructural. The structure of Sr(H2O)8[B12H12] is best described as a NaCl‐type arrangement, Ba(H2O)6[B12H12] rather forms a layer‐like and Ca(H2O)7[B12H12] · H2O a channel‐like structure. In first sphere the alkaline earth metal cations Ca2+ and Sr2+ are coordinated by just seven and eight oxygen atoms from the surrounding water molecules, respectively. A direct coordinative influence of the quasi‐icosahedral [B12H12]2– cluster anions becomes noticeable only for the Ba2+ cations (CN = 12) in Ba(H2O)6[B12H12]. The dehydratation of the alkaline earth metal dodecahydro‐closo‐dodecaborate hydrates has been shown to take place in several steps. Thermal treatment leads to the anhydrous compounds Ca[B12H12], Sr[B12H12] and Ba[B12H12] at 224, 164 and 116 °C, respectively.  相似文献
