We prove dimension formulas for the cotangent spaces T 1 and T 2 for a class of rational surface singularities by calculating a correction term in the general dimension formulas. We get that it is zero if the dual graph of the rational surface singularity X does not contain a particular type of configurations, and this generalizes a result of Theo de Jong stating that the correction term c (X ) is zero for rational determinantal surface singularities. In particular our result implies that c (X ) is zero for Riemenschneiders quasi‐determinantal rational surface singularities, and this also generalizes results for quotient singularities. Microelectronics packaging has been developing rapidly due to the demands for faster, lighter and smaller products. Printed circuit boards (PCBs) provide mechanical support and electrical interconnection for electronic devices. Many types of composite PCBs have been developed to meet various needs. Recent trends in reliability analysis of PCBs have involved development of the structural integrity models for predicting lifetime under thermal environmental exposure; however the theoretical models need verification by the experiment.

The objective of the current work is the development of an optical system and testing procedure for evaluation of the thermal deformation of PCBs in the wide temperature range. Due to the special requirements of the specimen and test condition, the existing technologies and setups were updated and modified. The discussions on optical methods, thermal loading chambers, and image data processing are presented. The proposed technique and specially designed test bench were employed successfully to measure the thermal deformations of PCB in the −40°C to +160°C temperature range. The video-based moiré interferometry was used for generating, capturing and analysis of the fringe patterns. The obtained information yields the needed coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) for tested PCBs.  相似文献

We consider three different models of linear differential equations and their isomonodromic deformations. We show that each of the models has its own specificity, although all of them lead to the same final result. The anatomy and geometry of the lung at the micro- and macroscopic level have been described briefly. A notion of lung parenchyma — a macroscopically continuous medium whose mechanical properties result from those of microstructural components — has been adapted. Simplifying assumptions propounded in the constitutive model have been discussed. Two phases have been distinguished in the medium: the solid phase — a highly deformable, nonlinearly elastic skeleton in the form of a thin-walled tissue structure on the micro-scale — and the fluid phase — perfect gas (air) filterating through the structure. General constitutive relations for both phases and their mechanical interactions have ben formulated. Further, the fundamental set of differential equations of the quasi-static coupled problem has been developed. Large deformations, material nonlinearities, and dependence of permeability on skeleton deformation have been included. Matrix formulation of the problem has been presented from the point of view of the finite element method. An implicit iterative time integration scheme has been proposed. The algorithm has been illustrated with results of simple numerical tests.  相似文献

In the present paper we consider interior and exterior mixed boundary value problems of anti-plane shear in the static theory of linear piezoelectricity. Using the boundary integral equation method we reduce the problems to systems of singular integral equations with discontinuous coefficients to which the classical Nöether’s theorems on existence of the solution can be applied. This allows us to establish well-posedness results and to obtain integral solutions of the corresponding mixed boundary value problems for a rather general class of piezoelectric materials. The Gaussian expression for the isothermal tensile deformation of thermoplastics including the proposed strain hardening constant Gp, has been combined with the Eyring flow equation to provide a new relation describing the rate of strain of a thermoplastic in terms of the true stress and the extension ratio under isothermal conditions. In conventional mechanical tests this model can be used to quantify the tendency to strain localization, to predict the natural draw ratio and the inversion point where the true engineering stress passes through a minimum. The latter is expected to correlate with the value of the extension ratio where crazes do not propagate under tension. The equation is most easily demonstrated in constant load experiments where they agree well with published work. However, for a more precise evaluation of the theory the constant Gp should be measured separately and the calculated results compared with other tests on the same material. Where necking occurs it is possible to use a simplified plug flow model to calculate neck profiles. These show that no special assumptions are required to account for necking which results directly from the interaction of geometric thinning and strain hardening, even where true strain softening is absent. The procedure makes it possible to illustrate the way in which the form of the neck can be affected by the rate of extension or in a constant load experiment by the applied load. ©1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The equilibrium deformations of tungsten, osmium and platinum nuclei are studied with the self-consistent quadrupole plus pairing interaction model by considering all the nucleons in nucleus explicitly. It is shown that similar results can be obtained by performing calculations with or without the assumption of an inert core. The only difference is in the strength of the quadrupole and pairing interactions to be employed in the respective calculations. The experimental static quadrupole moments and theB (E2) values are correctly reproduced by performing calculations with bare nucleon charge for all the nucleons.  相似文献

For a class of unbounded operators, a deformation of a Bott projection is used to construct an integer-valued invariant measuring deviation of the non-commutative deformations from the commutative originals, and its interpretation in terms of -theory of -algebras is given. Calculation of this invariant for specific important classes of unbounded operators is also presented.
