The effect of environment on the physical and mechanical properties of composite materials in some cases is determined by the environmental sensitivity of the binder. The results of experimental investigation of the deformability and strength of polyester resin, widely used as a binder in composites, upon the action of stationary and quasi-stationary loads, temperatures, and moisture are presented. The ranges of acceptable values of these services factors are determined. The elastic modulus and tensile strength of the material are obtained from quasi-static tests. The viscoelastic behavior of the resin is investigated in creep tests. From the results of a short-term experiment with stepwise loading up to failure, it is found that the creep of specimens with a moisture content of 0.14% can be described by a linear viscoelastic model for stresses up to 20 MPa (two thirds of the strength). The action of single loading impulses is summarized according to the Boltzmann superposition principle. The temperature and absorbed moisture are considered as factors accelerating the relaxation processes in the material. The creep activation under the action of these factors is described using the methods of time-temperature and time-moisture equivalence. The results of short-term creep tests allow us to determine the relaxation characteristics of the material in stationary conditions. The long-term creep under close-to-service conditions is predicted using these data and quite good agreement with the control test is obtained. The sensitivity of the material characteristics (strength, elastic modulus, and creep strain) to the action of temperature and moisture is estimated. The creep strain is most sensitive to the action of environmental factors. For a fully saturated material (moisture content 1.64 wt.%), after one hour creep, this strain four times exceeds that of a dry one. The same growth in deformability is caused by an 18°C increase in temperature. A quantitative comparison of the characteristics of polyester and epoxy resins allows us to choose the binder for composites and to estimate the expected environmental effect. The varieties equivalent to a given variety are characterized in a purely categorical way. In fact they are described as the models of those Lawvere theories which are Morita equivalent to the Lawvere theory of which therefore are characterized first. Along this way the conceptual meanings of the n-th matrix power construction of a variety and McKenzie's σ-modification of classes of algebras [22] become transparent. Besides other applications not only the well known equivalences between the varieties of Post algebras of fixed orders m and the variety of Boolean algebras are obtained; moreover it can be shown that the varieties are the only varieties equivalent to . On the basis of concepts of bipolar fuzzy sets, we establish a new framework of bipolar fuzzy subsemirings(resp., ideals) which is a generalization of traditional fuzzy subsemirings(resp., ideals) in semirings. The concepts of bipolar fuzzy subsemirings(resp., ideals) are introduced and related properties are investigated by means of positive t-cut, negative s-cut and equivalence relation. Particularly, the notion of a normal bipolar fuzzy ideal is given, and some basic properties are studied in this paper.  相似文献

A material model for concrete is proposed here within the framework of a thermodynamically consistent elasto-plasticity–damage theory. Two anisotropic damage tensors and two damage criteria are adopted to describe the distinctive degradation of the mechanical properties of concrete under tensile and compressive loadings. The total stress tensor is decomposed into tensile and compressive components in order to accommodate the need for the above mentioned damage tensors. The plasticity yield criterion presented in this work accounts for the spectral decomposition of the stress tensor and allows multiple hardening rules to be used. This plastic yield criterion is used simultaneously with the damage criteria to simulate the physical behavior of concrete. Non-associative flow rule for the plastic strains is used to account for the dilatancy of concrete as a frictional material. The thermodynamic Helmholtz free energy concept is used to consistently derive dissipation potentials for damage and plasticity and to allow evolution laws for different hardening parameters. The evolution of the two damage tensors is accounted for through the use of fracture-energy-based continuum damage mechanics. An expression is derived for the damage–elasto-plastic tangent operator. The theoretical framework of the model is described here while the implementation of this model will be discussed in a subsequent paper.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the application of the fringe-locking method(FLM) in the dual-species quantum test of the weak equivalence principle(WEP).With the FLM,the measurement is performed invariably at the midfringe,and the extraction of the phase shift for atom interferometers is linearized.For the simultaneous interferometers,this linearization enables a good common-mode rejection of vibration noise,which is usually the main limit for high precision WEP tests of the dual-species kind.We note that this method also allows for an unbiased determination of the gravity accelerations difference,which meanwhile is ready to be implemented.  相似文献

Let A and B be Artin R-algebras of finite Cohen-Macaulay type. Then we prove that, if A and B are standard derived equivalent, then their Cohen-Macaulay Auslander algebras are also derived equivalent. And we show that Gorenstein projective conjecture is an invariant under standard derived equivalence between Artin R-algebras.  相似文献

We develop a Hungarian construction for the partial sum process of independent non-identically distributed random variables. The process is indexed by functions f from a class , but the supremum over is taken outside the probability. This form is a prerequisite for the Komlós–Major–Tusnády inequality in the space of bounded functionals , but contrary to the latter it essentially preserves the classical n−1/2logn approximation rate over large functional classes such as the Hölder ball of smoothness 1/2. This specific form of a strong approximation is useful for proving asymptotic equivalence of statistical experiments.  相似文献
