Equivalence relation groupoids associated with certain linearly ordered dimension groups

We consider linearly ordered, Archimedean dimension groups (G,G⁺,u) for which the group G/u is torsion-free. It will be shown that if, in addition, G/u is generated by a single element (i.e., ), then (G,G⁺,u) is isomorphic to for some irrational number τ(0,1). This amounts to an extension of related results where dimension groups for which G/u is torsion were considered. We will prove, in the case of the Fibonacci dimension group, that these results can be used to directly construct an equivalence relation groupoid whose C^*-algebra is the Fibonacci C^*-algebra.     

Systems of linear differential equations symmetric with respect to transformations nonlinear in a function

We show that if a system of first order linear differential equations with constant coefficients admits an operator whose coordinates responsible for the transformation of independent variables depend on functions then it admits an operator whose coordinates responsible for the transformation of functions depend nonlinearly on functions.     

Vertices, sources and Green correspondents of the simple modules for the large Mathieu groups

We investigate the simple modules for the sporadic simple Mathieu groups M₂₂, M₂₃ and M₂₄ as well as those of the automorphism group, the covering groups and the bicyclic extensions of M₂₂ in characteristics 2 and 3. We determine the vertices and sources as well as the Green correspondents of these simple modules. We also find two 3-blocks with elementary abelian defect groups of order 9 in these groups which are Morita equivalent to their Brauer correspondents.     

A Morita theorem for dual operator algebras

We prove that two dual operator algebras are weak^∗ Morita equivalent in the sense of [D.P. Blecher, U. Kashyap, Morita equivalence of dual operator algebras, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 212 (2008) 2401-2412] if and only if they have equivalent categories of dual operator modules via completely contractive functors which are also weak^∗-continuous on appropriate morphism spaces. Moreover, in a fashion similar to the operator algebra case, we characterize such functors as the module normal Haagerup tensor product with an appropriate weak^∗ Morita equivalence bimodule. We also develop the theory of the W^∗-dilation, which connects the non-selfadjoint dual operator algebra with the W^∗-algebraic framework. In the case of weak^∗ Morita equivalence, this W^∗-dilation is a W^∗-module over a von Neumann algebra generated by the non-selfadjoint dual operator algebra. The theory of the W^∗-dilation is a key part of the proof of our main theorem.

Topological representation for monadic implication algebras

In this paper, every monadic implication algebra is represented as a union of a unique family of monadic filters of a suitable monadic Boolean algebra. Inspired by this representation, we introduce the notion of a monadic implication space, we give a topological representation for monadic implication algebras and we prove a dual equivalence between the category of monadic implication algebras and the category of monadic implication spaces.      

On the Generalized Heisenberg Supermagnetic Model

In this paper, we construct the generalized Heisenberg supermagnetic models with two different constraints and investigate the integrability of the super integrable systems. By virtue of the gauge transformation, their corresponding gauge equivalent counterparts are derived, i.e., the super and fermionic mixed derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equations, respectively.     

四色猜想的解析论证及其在地图绘制中的应用

依据欧拉定理,研究了边数差和着色数计算公式,对四色猜想进行了研究．借助四面体顶点数与面积数相等的原则、多面体边数不变的原则和多余理论,用边数差数学计算方法论证了四色猜想．用简单的数学公式和几何作图方法说明了四色猜想的合理性,为其提供了可靠的理论依据．用“三色包点”和“以面切体”的几何作图法,证明多面体和平面地图的着色数恒为4;非三色包点的图形,可以通过“以面切体”的方法转换成三色包点的图形;使用多余国家、多余边数的数学技巧代替计算机使用的不可避免性、可约性是合适的．理论分析及实例论证表明该方法简单可行．
